Battlefield disappointment

Although this goes for all platforms, the prefix is based on my current gaming.

I was hyped for BF4, but that was quickly taken away with the garbage we were given. I HATE playing with random people. Most times it is almost impossible to get in game with other USMG players. The lockups seemed to have gotten better then got bad again. At least 1 of 3 rounds does a hard lockup on the console. Sometimes leading to a dirty power down which over time will take its toll on the hard drive. For this reason, I am going to revisit older BF releases and make an attempt to stay away from BF4 until it is completely stable. I will join in on any official community events, like the one proposed by Chris, BF4 Thursday.

I own Every title released in the BF series for either the PC or PS3. I even have those on the original XBox and PS2. I don't think I got the DLC on Bad Company 2, but if there are any that care to play, I would get it.

Let the official Boycott Begin.

PS, I want a refund on Premium until this shit is fixed

PC is mostly fine. Pretty stable, haven't been kicked from servers, game seems decently balanced. Maybe I've just gotten lucky (I'm not premium, so I can't speak to that).

PS3 annoyed me to no end. It's easier on PC to team/squad up with others from my limited time in the game so far. I also don't get crashes since keeping up to date with release versions of nvidia drivers and switching to the 32-bit executable. My shit freezes all the time on the PS3. That combined with the party problems has me in the same boat as you, but since I'm enjoying it on PC so far, my only complaint is that I wish people were on more often. There always seem to be people on PS3 to play with, but it's a PITA to join if they're in a full server, and once I freeze I have to do it all over again. I'm not sure my PS3 has all its marbles anyway though, it was crashing all the time with BF3 as well.

I played some last night and ended up getting bounced from the server once. The night before was 2 or 3 times. Very frustrating with the dirty lock up as ssanders jr said. It's also a huge disappointment trying to play with fellow USMG members. If you don't have a party going you can almost never get on the same team. I can go on about other problems but, personally highly disgusted with BF4.

I said it once and I'll say it again, this game was rushed. I expect that once all the bugs are finally ironed out, it'll be an excellent game. Until then, disappointment prevails. :(

Has it gotten any better with the patch? I should have some time tonight or tomorrow morning to actually get on again but don't know if I want to waste my time dealing with crashes.

Brian, I played or at tempted to play China rising maps today and several lockups. I do remember seeing a message on the start screen warning about possible disconnects due to some server changes.

I had mine freeze once today, that's a lot better then in the past (4 times a hour or so)

I actually was able to get on yesterday. I got to play two maps before the wife woke up and started bitching so I just played a third and got off. No lock ups, some bad lag, and I didn't even get to see any new maps :(.

There have been two times I couldn't even get the game to load without unplugging and plugging back in my Xbox One. I don't know if this is a console problem, or not, but it doesn't happen on Ghosts.
