I'm looking for something to help me get back into my pre back surgery weight. I've looked into both the fit bit and nike fuel band but I was looking for some first hand knowledge. Anyone out there have either of these

www.myfitnesspal.com (http://www.myfitnesspal.com) is a great way to track calories and exercise. Not sure if that is what you are looking for but I like it.

What Johnathan said.. I use it. If I do track anything its through that program. I think Nike has some great stuff but it is a tad more expensive.

Live Strong is pretty good too. I used it to lose weight after my surgery.
I use my fitness pal and Garmin connect. I have a forunner gps watch with heart rate monitor to track calories burned and other info then just enter the values into fitness pal.

I have a fitbit for walking, and a garmin for running and biking.
Just don't get the fitbit 1, I've lost 2 of the little buggers.. get the wrist model. I thinks its the force.

The FitBit one is good, but its almost too small. I've lost 2 of them.
1 I washed til it died. the 2nd fell off my pocket about 3 weeks ago, and hasn't turned up.

I'm rocking the 1 gen nike fuel band.
I like it a lot but I only use it for the fuel and time.
Reason why is because the device is very inaccurate when it comes to the steps and calories.
Since everything is based on arm movement.
You can just swing your arm and it will think you're walking.

Thanks Rob, I'm biased toward Nike been running in them since HS, so it's good to hear someone else's view before I run out and spend the money

The only Nike thing I like in terms of Fitness is the Training Club App. (You can get for both ios and android)
It gives you pre-configured workouts based on what type of training your interested in.

They have a second generation, so it might be different.
All in all, I love my nike fuel band
