Looks like we'll have some content from the guys at the Halo world here fairly soon in the X1 realm. Spartan Assault seems to be a lot like Halo Wars for those who enjoyed that game and gametype. There is a video in the link. I'm just excited for some new material!

I hate to disappoint, but it's not much like Halo Wars at all. This game has been available on the Surface tablet for a while, and they're making some changes before porting it to X1. It's a fun game so far, just keep your expectations lower than Halo Wars. That game rocked.

Yeah its more like Smash TV from the ol' NES games. Its pretty fun but quite basic lol. The upgrade system annoys me. But I don't feel bad on the purchase as you can't go wrong for 15$.

I tinkered with Halo Assault but don't care for it. I just don't care for the top down view, but it was available when I unboxed my new toy. Now I did order Halo 5...I guess that is the name of it. It is actually supposed to arrive tomorrow by mail from Amazon-not by drone -although I would be terribly excited if it did arrive that way. On the other hand I would probably freak and shoot it down thinking it was an invasion or something. Film at 11:00

Yes, that 2014 was a key point in the situation. I was close to assaulting the mailman (it is ok he liked the attention) daily for my expected game. That little notice on Amazon of "has not shipped" yet set me off yesterday morning. I had Amazon on chat about my "not shipped" status when I had a delivery date of Jan. 7, 2014. I also let loose with a nice but definitive explanation of how I fully expect Pre-order to be available. The poor guy was desperately trying to find another seller to which I informed him that if a game is pre-ordered I should not have to follow up and contact them- it should be an automatic on their part. I then received an email from Amazon about his handling of my chat session and I asked for a call back (I wanted to make it clear that he was very nice and that I did not blame him, but that I was not going to be satisfied until my game hit the mailbox.) Ah hem...well, a nice young woman did her due research, unlike a certain person writing this post, and explained that the date of release was actually DECEMBER 2014. I must have been confused with the year and thinking who knows what...the short answer....Dec. 31, 2014 release date for the next installment of Halo. She kindly offered me "CAll of Duty Ghosts" when I expressed dismay. Despite my error, I still made doggone sure Destiny and Watchdogs is in their pre-order system correctly. LOL
