Nor do I. I tried it one time on the 360. It's not for me.

Right there with you. I have no imagination for it. But my kids who are 12 and 10, absolutely LOVE this game. They both play it, and my son even has a few t-shirts of it. He even had wanted me to download some of the youtube parodies about Minecraft on his phone for him. So anyway, good to know, but they both play it on the Xbox already.
I am very interested in the Vita version for my kids. Anything that keeps them quiet on road trips is worth its' weight in gold. I'm curious about the PS4 version as well. If it expands or anything on it.

According to my nephew the PC version is a lot better then to 360 version because its has more updates and you can use more mods, or something like that. I wasn't really paying attention.

PC vs consoles will always be better for minecraft. They have updates on PC that haven't made their way to consoles yet. We get those updates much later, but it is still tons of fun. My 4yr old likes to sit on my lap when I play and she calls it my zombie game lol

I am reading on Google about a March release timeframe for minecraft on the X1. Have we ever had a server build or community build before?

I teach 6th grade and have given homework assignments about minecraft. The in game maps are great examples of the Cartesian grid coordinate system with scaling, and the debug screen that tells you your coordinates is a great example of expanding that to the 3rd dimension. It can also be used to teach; volume, area, perimeter, sustainable forestry practices, human environmental impact and very basic boolean logic (or, nor, and, etc. ).
It has to be the very best piece of educational software ever written, and the kids don't even notice they are being taught anything.....

It's a good game that my lady and I can play together. I'm hoping Irish and Zeebra will be on my server as much as we will be. I want to build a huge castle!

I think it's a great game when you just need something relaxing (a break from chaos). It's also something fun to do with your kids. My kids and I have built a couple really cool worlds and even have a Nether Portal in the basement of one of our houses

True. What was really cool about the portal in the basement is that it leads directly into a nether temple

I just started playing this with my son. It does get boring just making houses, so I started watching videos on youtube. Some of this these people make are amazing. I like the mechanical part of the game. I spent 4 hours trying to make 3 pistons move up together, last night.😁
