I heard about the one that happened in Britain today when I was waiting @ the Hospital for something, but I didn't know about this one. Sad news :(

RIP to those two sailors and hoping for the best for the fifth.

We had a 60 go down when I was out on a work-up for one of my 13th MEU pumps. Two were not recovered for a very long while because of the depth where they went down. The other two didn't make it, one died instantly and the other they get to medical while he was still somewhat alive, but he did not make it. I saw him on his way in there, I never want to see something like that again. I don't know how he was still alive at that point. That MEU was cursed, we had a Harrier turn into a lawn dart on final (she ejected ok though), a Lieutenant Commander who died of a heart attack in his rack after morning chow with no previous signs anything was wrong, and we lost too many of our grunts while in the sandbox....

Anyway, it's sad to see this happen and I hope the two they've recovered so far end up alright.

This has been a horrible week for the military. A HH-60G with my friends on board crashed and killed everyone in England this week. We then have the 53 go down and the MC-12 crashed killing everyone. Thankfully someone lived fromt the 53 incident. One of my friend on the 60 crash was retiring in March...........
