PlayStation™Now: Bringing Game Streaming to Consoles

PlayStation Now offers the first ever streaming game service on consoles powered by our exclusive advanced cloud-based technology. Gamers can now play games the same way they stream TV, movies and music…instantly. Starting with PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4, and expanding to PlayStation®Vita, BRAVIA TV’s and other Sony and non-Sony devices, PlayStation Now will be available on the electronic devices gamers use most.

PlayStation Now gives gamers instant access to some of PlayStation’s most popular full games. With a wide variety of games to stream, there will always be new challenges to conquer, instantly.

We are excited about the future of game streaming and invite you to keep up with the latest news and updates on the evolution of PlayStation Now in the future.

http://m.us.playstation.com/playstationnow/

Apparently any Sony Bravia TV built this year can also stream the service. You can sync a PS3 controller directly to the TV. They haven't announced any prices yet, but one would assume it's comparable to Gamefly.

There's going to be a closed beta launching at the end of the month. The service is going live this summer. If you register on the site you could get an invite to the beta.

Got an email invite with the download code a few days ago. Only PS3 games up right now and not some of the better games but the service runs great. There will be three rental options, trying to remember the lengths off the cuff right now but I can't. All free for me though during the beta

Yea it's a neat idea, from what I have streamed it seems they have the concept done right. Just needs more games.

I don't think we will be getting it this side of the Atlantic anytime soon.

My only complaint as of right now is that you can't use remote play on the vita with the service...at least not yet

I've loved the service so far, but the publisher sets the price of the game and some of them are ridiculous

I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'll check it out tonight. I think they will eventually even out the pricing.

You can't use any of the games associated DLC either. Other than that it's stable, quick, and full of nostalgia. It gives people the option to try some of those games they never got around to or didn't want to take the risk on

That's cool. Until it becomes a subscription service, I might just stick with Gamefly.

Oh good so I can play all my PS3 games that were purchased on PS4 assuming they are in the library. Where did you hear about that I must have missed it somewhere

Wait what? No, you can purchase games from PS Now from your PS3 and stream them. They go into your games library. I'm not sure if you can play them from your PS4 though.

Man you confused the hell out of me I thought they were allowing purchased PSN games to be streamed not the rentals....back to my regularly scheduled program

Sorry. I should have quoted ZacXier. I was replying to him.

It's a great idea but I too will wait until they work out something a bit better as far as pricing.
