So I am considering upgrading to the Nokia Lumia and I know about the lack of apps but I really only use a couple so it doesn't break my heart. I love the idea of linking my Xbox to my phone and gaming etc. Anyways does tapatalk work with the phone? Anyone have one of these bad boys?

Yeah it works. It isn't the most polished app (the official app is actually relatively new), but it does the job. Which Lumia did you get?

That's what I use. I used to use Board Express but I think that went under when Tapatalk finally got around to making an app for WP. It's funny actually, all these developers who had to implement third party apps for these major players (e.g. tapatalk, instagram, pandora, etc...) did a GREAT job of making it so WP users had features they wanted from the app store. A lot of these devs worked pretty hard and are the only reason WP was even somewhat viable in the recent past. There were many third party apps making it so that the WP experience wasn't truly awful. Now that the bigger entities see the slice of the pie increasing for WP, NOW they come in here with crap apps, missing features, full of bugs, and force the dedicated developers out. For an OS that is struggling to get and keep devs, it's not helping. I'm sure these companies will get to polishing their apps, but it just kinda sucks that third parties brought the services to WP when the services weren't interested in doing the heavy lifting themselves, but now that they are interested, those third party devs are assed out. Meh. Blah. Fawk. I'm ranting again.
Anyway, the Tapatalk app works but it's pretty new, so there are some annoyingly missing features. But it does the job.

That's a great phone, it takes awesome pics. I had the 920 a while which basically has the same camera and it was astounding (for a phone camera), especially in low light. You have the added benefit of a xenon flash though.
I've got the 1520 now, I didn't expect them to put an inferior camera in it, but they did. It's not bad, it's still one of the better ones on the market, but I was hoping they'd at least make it up to par with the 920's. I knew they wouldn't give it the 1020's camera but I didn't expect them to go backwards from the 920.
I actually miss that camera enough that I've entertained going back to the 920.

I've had the Lumia 920 for about 8 months now. I freaking love this phone.

Yeah I was skeptical at first since it was a different kind of interface but this shit is great. I am not a crazy app guy so this honestly is one of the better fits for me.
