New Joint Service uniform

I just heard from a member of the clothing and textile board that the joint uniform committee decided on the Scorpion pattern. The rumor is the AF may hop on board first, then the Army.

Yeah, I don't get why we need to change our uniform so often. I understand if we are at war with a place with a distinct environment, but we're not! The uniforms we have not work just fine! (Except the Navy digital print).

According to the CW2 I spoke with, all branches have agreed to it. It just needs to go through congress now.
The reason this was done was because the Army ACU pattern is practically useless, and right now they're paying out the ass on royalties for multi cam. Scorpion will be owned by the government, so they'll only have to pay Crye once to purchase the rights.

I thought this was approved by congress last year? Believe it or not this will save money in the long run, no longer need to produce multiple types, save money on multiple wear tests and development.

The pattern it self hasn't been approved by Congress yet. I'm sure it's just a technicality.

Army and Air will probably switch sometime next year. The other branches won't switch until at least 2018.
