The congress finally did it. They made the Air Force unable to retire the beloved, ugly A-10.

That is fucking awesome because they were dumb to think that a super hornet would ever be able to replace the a-10. Being out here at NTC I've seen a-10's, FA-18, lancers, b-2's and more fly out here and the a-10's by far beat out the rest when I comes down to gun runs on troops or Vic's in the open. God knows if I heard one of these and I was opfor in a real life situation I'd shit myself. Lol

The sound of those GE TF34 engines approaching from a distance makes my hair stand straight up. Fortunately, it was at an air demo at Nellis. Otherwise, I too would be shitting myself if I was on the other side of the A-10. 30mm at 70 rounds per second, the distinct "BRRRRRRRRRT", and the 'small' craters it leaves would be more than enough to raise a white flag in my honest opinion.

I highly doubt the F-35, which was planned to replace the A-10 in CAS missions, could even amount to the capabilities or undermine the expenses. You can run 10 or so Hogs at the same expense as one F-35. What was the chairforce thinking? Oh, yeah.. it was so several air force bases in the States could have globemasters and f-16s instead. Booo, I say.

Stupid idea to get rid of the a10 anyways that is an amazing aircraft and one of very few that can still do air to ground attacks

Lol they can all do A-to-G attacks DJ. The A-10 is only preferred because of its payload. Its a great aircraft though I agree.

The A-1's guns spinnin' is a pinned down Infantrymans favorite sounds of all time. To get rid of the A10 should be illegal. That plane has literally saved my and my brothers lives more than once in BOSNIA

The Apache replaced them in Bosnia minus a few and I love the apache but on the Border of KOSOVO the Apache wouldnt have made it in time and would have cost a lot of good men there lives. Those 2 A10's stoped the OPFOR DEAD in its teacks literally
