Well guys it's official, as of yesterday I'm a brand new Marine Officer, butter bars and all.

Heading to TBS in October first, and after that's done I'll get assigned my MOS. Not quite sure what I want yet, I'll have to use TBS as my MOS classifieds lol.

Virginia Tech.. The other 3 guys I commissioned with are goin even earlier.. I guess the wait time is on the decline again now that the budget cut mysteries are slowly going away

Was he a MECEP? Cause a good buddy of mine, commissioned back in November, was a active-duty Sgt before commissioning through MECEP and he had to wait all the way till This June... Might be a prior enlisted thing

Nah. Some people just seem to get lucky (met another AF pilot trainee today who commissioned (through AF ROTC) on 9 May. He EAD'd in a week, basically! That's pretty much unheard-of)
