" 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF D DAY TRIBUTE, JUNE 6, 2014
Fagen Fighters WWII Museum will commemorate the 70th Anniversary of D Day on June 6, 2014. Every year at this time we reflect on the sacrifices made by the greatest generation, the WWII veterans and realize what a different America we would live in today had it not been for their bravery. We are forever thankful. Our museum, which features D-Day exhibits, will be open at 10:00AM on Friday, June 6th and available for tours throughout the day.
All Fagen WWII warbirds will be in the air throughout the afternoon, weather permitting. Both formation and solo flybys are planned. Friends with WWII warbirds wishing to be involved, please contact the museum.
The Fagen ground vehicles as well as some visiting ground vehicles will be moving around the museum/airport grounds. The day will be enhanced by WWII reenactors. An authentic WWII field kitchen will be in operation featuring the culinary fare of the battlefield, and possibly offering small samples, thanks to the Joe Foss Squadron of the CAF of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Food will be available for purchase on the grounds. We hope to see you there!"
