Ladies and Gentlemen,

How are you all doing? I wanted to extend a warm welcome from the PFO community, as well as The Empyrean Order. I read through your Guild/Settlement description, and I think that you might be a perfect company to help build Brighthaven, The Empyrean Order's founding settlement and community project. The Empyrean Order recently won the first Land Rush, cementing our place on the EE map.

Since Goblinworks describes Guilds, for the purpose of the Land Rush, as federated companies working together to build one settlement, it would be in our best interests to reach out to companies like yours.

The Empyrean Order stands for community, protecting the weak, and justice. We will be helping protect and build Brighthaven, which will have a focus on martial training facilities, as well as crafting facilities. If you are interested in a settlement where you will have a voice, help shape it for future players, or just enjoy people who want to have a positive gaming experience, Brighthaven, might be for you.

If you have any questions please contact Lifedragn, Ixiolander, or myself (bigmancheatle) on the Paizo Forums

P.S. - I would have added URLs/Links but it looks like I can not.

Sounds like a request to join a coalition in some mom or other that we have a presence in at some point.

It's for Pathfinder Online. A kick started game based on the successful Pathfinder table top game that was made using D&D 3.5 as a guideline. This post looks like it was more or less copy pasted from one of the games forums and lacked the actual name of the game.

Correct. The website is: https://goblinworks.com/

Currently, there is the Land Rush and the Alpha testing. If you signed up for Early Enrollment [and at least one person in USMG did and has USMG listed as a company in it] or if you would like to join in the Early Enrollment and take part in the Land Rush, head over to their website to join in.

The Land Rush is only going to last another 4 weeks and everyone is looking to recruit more folks. After the Land Rush comes the Tower Wars. A company needs at least 11 members now to have any shot at getting one of the 30 Early Enrollment settlement hexes, which is what the Land Rush is all about. A settlement is made up of multiple companies. So everyone is looking for new recruits.

Speaking of new recruits ....

Our settlement, Kabal, is looking for new recruits as well. We are currently in 13th place and looking to climb higher. If you are curious about us or the game, feel free to stop by our website. We also have Mumble so someone might be on to talk to you if you have any questions. You can find us listed and our website link under the Guild Leaderboard or Guild Index

Here is a bit of description from our website: "For Pathfinder Online, the guild/company structure will be a dual ring council, and we will be NG [neutral good]. Mainly because it gives us a great deal of options and flexibility. We are good guys. Sometimes, some of us get our hands dirty, some more than others. We will gladly accept individual applications, or group applications from smaller guilds/companies or groups. Small guilds/companies or groups will be brought in relatively whole, and have their guild leader automatically brought onto the council so they will have a direct influence of the direction of their new family, and not be absorbed anonymously into something they later regret."

Originally, groups were called guilds but this has now been changed to companies. So the terms are used interchangeably to the confusion of many.

We are looking for folks who want to craft, trade, hunt, explore, do PvP and PvE.

Well the guy is persistent in trying to expand his base I guess u could say, ive seen the kickstarter for PFO and was impressed on their presentation but like most MMOs there is always going to be either a hit or miss when it launches. I'll keep my eye on it since it might be useful for our community if it kicks off, but as for another WoW ender contender I wont hold my breath lol. Now the question is he trying to recruit us in a coalition or trying to recruit people for his own group and will we be able to keep the USMG name and have a presence there or will we have to fly his banner? Hmm decisions decisions.

Brighthaven is a different settlement recruiting from us, Kabal, which is also recruiting. :D

If individuals want to join, then we would like them, for now, to join the Kabal company. If USMG wants to join as a company, we would like them as a company to join the Kabal settlement. When the Tower Wars start, we would like to have at least seven companies in the Kabal settlement. Each company will control an individual hex for the settlement. It is the way the Tower Wars are set up, one company can only control one hex for a settlement. If there are lots of members in a company, say 20+, then we would look at them splitting up into smaller companies to control the more hexes, USMG1, USMG2 or whatever.

The Kabal company may split into 2 or 3 smaller companies just to control as many hexes around our settlement as we can.

I've never played WOW but I'm told by those making this MMO and the Alpha players that it will be different. In one way, making sure it doesn't turn into a murder-fest game. There are consequences for going out and attacking PCs that you have not paid to have a feud with, for example. There are other ways it will also be different.

There are 33 settlements competing for space in what is being called the "Land Rush", a promotion run by Goblinworks (the game developer) to get players to gather other players together to get enough together to win a settlement hex (they are using a grid like the old gaming hex paper we all know and love from the old D&D days).USMG is on the Land Rush but only shows one member...obviously way down the list and not able to win a settlement hex. Monday, July 21st was the end of week 8. Two weeks to go in this part of the game development. After week 10 ends the Land Rush is over, and the mechanics for a group of gamers to take a spot and build a settlement from scratch won't be in for at least 18 months (the game is still in development, but is playable is its most basic form). So, grab at least 10 players to claim a spot, or join up with a group already in. (NOTE: You need to pre-purchase the game and opt in to the Early Enrollment period which costs $100...read about it before you say no. It's a pretty cool idea.). Most all current settlement groups will gladly let you maintain your unique identity as a company. Everyone wants more members, just not members that will disrupt the "flavor" of their settlement, For example, I represent Forgeholm, a settlement founded by Dwarves. Orcs are not welcome, nor are evil aligned players. There are some evil settlements, some for Elves, some supporting the righteous valor of the paladin, some are magical research, some are mercenary companies, some are supporting the Pathfinder Society tabletop fan base, and some are just gamers that want to have fun or wreak havoc. If you are interested, check it out at https://goblinworks.com/ . Fanndis Goldbraid, Ambassador, Forgeholm

I started a separate thread for Tavenhold www.tavernhold.com because I wanted to make sure to let military folks know they are welcome to our settlement in specific and to the game in general.

All of our different settlements are in competition for members and votes in the last week of the land rush before beta starts. That said, I have nothing but good things to say about the other settlements that have posted here and the community in general.

I'm not even too butt hurt that Kabal beat us out for the location we were both competing for. ;)

I hope folks check out the game in general and the settlements that have reached out here.

Take care.

I don't think there is one. My name is not actually based on a military reference.. Its based on a character name from a movie I watched once. :becky:
