Just like the title says. I've finally hit level 60 but don't know how to Prestige. There's not an option to do it like there has been in past CODs. Do I have to max out my entire squad before I can do it?

You use squad points to unlock the next guy and lvl him up then rinse and repeat

"That wizard came from the moon."

I liked the old way to prestige but I guess this is the "New Era Way" , just like Bravo said u just play till u hit 60 then u buy the next guy or gal in line till u buy 10 of them.... As u go they get more costly.... Everything else is the same tho meaning when u unlock the new one u start your weapon unlocks and perk unlocks over.... So u will have to buy all your weapons and attachments over....

You have to go all the way through the lvl 60. Max it out then move to the next guy

If that's the case, that's fucking gay as I'm understanding it. Why the hell Prestige then if you start over with your "new" guy anyways just to get him/her to level 60?!! Fuck that! CoD needs to fix that shit! I'm not Prestiging then because I'm really not liking the multi on this one. Just my opinion though. Hammer out...

The point you are all missing in this new way is that you still have your level 60 fully ranked guy to play whenever you want. When you prestige in the old system you didn't have that option. You started from scratch and were stuck like that. It especially sucked when the clan decided to do a tourney and I had just prestiged. I personally like being able to rank up my guys like this. I ranked all of my squad to level 4 so they would have a slight fighting chance in squads mode before I started fully ranking.

Good point, I did forget to mention that my mistake..... : ) also another good point you made was the ranking up 6 to level 4 before u start to level your main one up... I did not do that and it made it a bit of a challenge so I stopped playing it.. Since that point I have played a few with fully ranked squad members and it is night and day difference so I could see how your way would have been a WAY smarter avenue to have taken.... Wish I would have thought of it.............

Not to mention you can pick what "type" of soldier you want to run with I.e. What your preferred perks are each time and you start with those. If it's super important to you to stay hidden from UAVs then pick the covet guy. The prestige system of this game is one of the only things I really do like. I just hit max prestige and I'm happy because it means I don't have to play it anymore, lol.

I could not have said it better. I love the new prestige system. I get to keep all my stuff without really losing anything. I'm already prestige master. I also like how my challenges carry over from one character to the next.

As opposed to starting over without a second guy?

You still get the emblems, you still get prestige indicators, but you get a level cap guy with everything you've already unlocked as well. What's the downside again that has people so worked up?

Oh, so you don't start completly over without anything like the past CoDs? I thought you would have to start over and "buy" everything again for your main guy and squad? As you can tell, I haven't played much of this one. Lol! Been playing BF4 more. Lol!

You do have to buy everything for the new guy, but you can always go back to your previous guy who still has everything you already owned unlocked. The only thing that transfers over from one character to the next is challenges, gun camos, and character customization items.

Oh ok. Thanks for the info. I'll still probably not Prestige anyways. Lol! By the time I get my squad up to do it, the new CoD will be out. Lol!

What's keeping you from prestiging? The only negative is that you spend Squad Points, which you earn all the time while playing.

What's the race? I only have 3 squad members at 60.

The trick is to put in a lot of hrs on double XP weekends. Also the other thing u can do on an everyday basis is look up the challenges and do those so u get a bunch of over round, and make sure to complete challenges on the double XP time also...

This! When I first started playing it took me forever to rank up. Once I started paying attention to the operations it nearly cut the time in half of not more.
