The Hunter class focuses primarily on mobility and adaptation. In an intense battle, the Hunter is designed to pick a spot, fire off a few rounds, and move to a new location. This makes them very well mated with the Scout Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher build. You never want to be caught in one place for very long as a Hunter.
Gunslinger Specifics

Each subclass has its own unique style, meaning that when you play different subclasses the feel of the character will change. This guide is set to focus on the Hunter's Gunslinger subclass. The Gunslinger's primary theme is accuracy over all else. Try to build your Gunslinger to take advantage of that.
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_fb5b6388ef0e848e11fd135ad86a76f6.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/fb5b6388ef0e848e11fd135ad86a76f6.jpg)
Attribute Points

Like most RPGs, Destiny also has attribute points, but they work slightly different. Attribute points are only acquired through equipping gear that has points on it. Below are the attribute points and how they affect the Gunslinger.

Intellect: Reduces the cooldown time of Golden Gun, allowing you to use it more often.
Discipline: Reduces the cooldown of grenades, allowing you to use them more often.
Strength: reduces the cooldown of Throwing Knife, allowing you to use it more often.

Grenades

Here I'll cover all three grenade tiers available to Gunslinger. To unlock higher tiers, you have to actively use your grenades. Whether it levels up based on kills with a grenade or just by use, I haven't figured out yet. To use your grenades, push L1 or the left shoulder button depending on which system you're using.
Incendiary Grenade
"An explosive grenade that catches enemies on fire, causing additional damage over time." This is your basic grenade option, and is most effective when thrown in to large groups of enemies. This grenade comes in very handy during the Devil's Lair mission.
Swarm Grenade
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_62fc049d6249229ea165b0c3b96389a2.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/62fc049d6249229ea165b0c3b96389a2.jpg)

"A grenade which detonates on impact, releasing multiple drones that seek nearby enemies." Another grenade that is good for using in large groups of enemies. This grenade is more useful as a deterrent when you're moving to a new location, since it detonates on impact.
Tripmine Grenade
"An explosive grenade that sticks to surfaces and detonates when enemies pass through its laser trigger." This grenade is best used for taking out waves of Hive Thralls or Fallen Stealth Vandals that are rushing towards you.
Jump

The Hunter's Jump modifier is Double Jump. This is the same for both Gunslinger and Blade Dancer, where they differentiate is the upgrades. To jump, push X or A depending on the system you use. Jump modifiers are really more about personal preference than anything else.
Double Jump
"Jump a second time after leaving the ground." Allows for higher/farther jumps.
Better Control
"Upgrades Double Jump for better directional control while in the air." This upgrade allows for more mobility when using Double Jump as an evasive tactic.
Triple Jump
"Upgrades Double Jump with a third jump." This upgrade allows for covering more distance or sharper directional changes in the air by using the last jump in a different direction.
Higher Jump
"Upgrades Double Jump for even greater height." For those jumps that you can just almost make.
Special

The Gunslinger's special is Golden Gun. The upgrades are preference based for this option. To use your special, press L1 and R1 or the Xbox equivalent at the same time.
Golden Gun
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_6e863eba64868d686e32d6b619780ee8.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/6e863eba64868d686e32d6b619780ee8.jpg)

"Summon a flaming pistol which disintegrates enemies with Solar Light." A high-powered, three-shot gun that doesn't consume ammo.
Deadeye

"Significantly increases the accuracy of Golden Gun." This comes in handy if you have a hard time hitting enemies while using Golden Gun. If you don't seem to have any trouble, I'd recommend going with a different option once you unlock them.
Combustion
"Killing enemies with Golden Gun causes them to explode." This option is good for shooting in to groups of enemies, dealing more overall damage at once than you would otherwise.
Gunfighter
"Reduces the cooldown of Golden Gun, allowing it to be used more often." This option is good if you tend to use Golden Gun whenever it's available. Otherwise, it's not very beneficial.
Melee Skill

The Gunslinger's melee skill is Throwing Knife. To use this skill, press R1 or the Xbox equivalent just like you would for a basic melee attack when the icon is full.
Throwing Knife
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_3e6a638c90d2a3724395aa462c4d6698.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/3e6a638c90d2a3724395aa462c4d6698.jpg)

"Throw a knife from a distance." This allows you to deal more damage in one hit than a normal melee attack would do. It's also useful for weakening/killing an enemy while moving to a new location.
Circle of Life
"Killing an enemy with Throwing Knife while Golden Gun is active extends the duration of Golden Gun." This upgrade also boosts your Gunslinger's base Armor stat. If you're consistent with your Golden Gun uses I'd recommend giving this upgrade a shot.
Incendiary Blade
"Throwing Knife catches enemies on fire, dealing additional damage over time." This is good if you tend to save Throwing Knife for enemies that can't be killed in one hit, allowing you to do more damage than normal.
Knife Juggler
"Precision kills with Throwing Knife immediately resets its cooldown." If you're good at getting precision kills with the Throwing Knife, this is the best option of the three.
Bonuses

There are four bonus trees with different options for different playstyles. It seems you're only allowed to have one bonus in each tree. Below I've listed the bonuses based on their tree.
Path
The first tree is your Path bonus. There are three options.

Path Forgotten: Raises base Armor and Agility.
Path Forbidden: Raises base Recovery and Agility.
Path Unknown: Raises base Armor and Recover.

Boosts
This tree doesn't have a specific title or theme. Each option is completely unique.

Scavenger: Picking up ammo reduces the cooldown of your grenade and Throwing Knife.
Keyhole: Golden Gun overpenetrates and can damage multiple targets.
Gunslinger's Trance: Precision kills increase weapon stability. Stacks up to three times.

Way
The third tree is your "Way of the ..." option. These are more specialised boosts to your base stats.

Way of the Drifter: Minor increases to Armor, Recovery, and Agility.
Way of the Fearless: Massive increase to Armor.
Way of the Nomad: Massive increase to Recovery, with a minor increase to Agility.

Miscellaneous
These bonuses all seem to be independent of each other. Unlike the other three trees, this tree isn't started by obtaining a certain level. This tree appears to be unlocked by reaching a certain number of Precision Kills,

Chain of Woe: Precision kills increases weapon reload speed. Stacks up to three times.
Over the Horizon: Increases the range of Golden Gun.
Gambler's Dagger: Gain an additional Throwing Knife.

That wraps up the Gunslinger specific details and recommendations guide. Please look forward to the Bladedancer, as well as both Titan and Warlock subclass breakdowns coming soon.

everything you need to know about the Titan's Striker Subclass in Destiny.

The Titan class focuses primarily on defense. In an intense battle, the Titan is designed to be in the middle of everything. This makes them very well mated with the Auto Rifle, Shotgun, Machine Gun build. I prefer the Hand Cannon over the Auto Rifle though. In Fireteams the Titan should be the distraction for the Hunters and Warlocks.
Striker Specifics:

Each subclass has its own unique style, meaning that when you play different subclasses the feel of the character will change. This guide is set to focus on the Titan's Striker subclass. The Striker's primary theme is melee attacks, and short-range combat. Try to build your Striker to take advantage of that.
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_feb05537f7aa97dbb6ae429697596b52.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/feb05537f7aa97dbb6ae429697596b52.jpg)
Attribute Points:
Like most RPGs, Destiny also has attribute points, but they work slightly different. Attribute points are only acquired through equipping gear that has points on it. Below are the attribute points and how they affect the Striker.

Intellect: Reduces the cooldown time of Fist of Havoc, allowing you to use it more often.
Discipline: Reduces the cooldown of grenades, allowing you to use them more often.
Strength: reduces the cooldown of Storm (http://www.gameskinny.com/game-storm) Fist, allowing you to use it more often.

Grenades:

Here I'll cover all three grenade tiers available to Striker. To unlock higher tiers, you have to actively use your grenades. Whether it levels up based on kills with a grenade or just by use, I haven't figured out yet. To use your grenades, push L1 or the left shoulder button depending on which system you're using.
Flashbang Grenade:
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_fecad992f177f85c5e3365c9228e3bfd.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/fecad992f177f85c5e3365c9228e3bfd.jpg)

"An explosive grenade that disorients the enemies it damages." This is best used when locked in heavy combat and need to retreat. For a short time enemies affected by this won't attack.
Pulse Grenade:
"A grenade that periodically damages enemies inside its explosion radius." Another grenade that is good for using in large groups of enemies. This is good for bringing down several tough enemies at once.
Lightning Grenade:
"A grenade that sticks to surfaces, periodically emitting bolts of lightning." This grenade is best used for taking out swarms of enemies in firefight type scenarios.
Jump:

The Titan's Jump modifier is Lift. This is the same for both Striker and Defender, where they differentiate is the upgrades. To jump, push X or A depending on the system you use. Jump modifiers are really more about personal preference than anything else.
Lift:
Jump and then press X again while in the air t activate Lift. This ability allows you to remain airborne slightly longer than normal.
Increased Height:
Upgrades Lift to travel to greater heights. This allows Lift to take you higher than normal.
Increased Control:
Upgrades Lift for better directional control while in the air. This allows for better mobility while in the air.
Catapult:
Upgrades Lift to provide a strong initial burst of momentum. This allows you to close the gap to enemies or retreat from enemies faster.
Special:

The Striker's special is Fist of Havoc. The upgrades are preference based for this option. To use your special, press L1 and R1 or the Xbox equivalent at the same time.
Fist of Havoc:
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_d1aa72b7f22bd5dd32c85d4b64c2f5f3.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/d1aa72b7f22bd5dd32c85d4b64c2f5f3.jpg)

Smash the ground and dissolve nearby enemies in a maelstrom of Arc Light. This special allows you to take out swarms of enemies at once.
Aftermath:
Fist of Havoc leaves a damage-dealing field in its wake. This is good for dealing with continuous waves of enemies, luring them into the field left by the initial attack.
Death From Above:
After jumping, Fist of Havoc can be aimed at enemies below. Most effective if going for a mobile build. This lets you bring the fight to any enemy within your jump range.
Shockwave:
Fist of Havoc unleashes a wave of devastating energy which travels along the ground. Best for clearing out large groups of enemies as they approach you.
Melee Skill:
The Striker's melee skill is Storm Fist. To use this skill, press R1 or the Xbox equivalent just like you would for a basic melee attack when the icon is full.
Storm Fist:
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_fa6661d373363f02c56c4b6af554852f.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/fa6661d373363f02c56c4b6af554852f.jpg)

A punishing melee attack that deals bonus damage. Good to use while you're in the thick of the battle.
Overload:
Hits with Storm Fist have a chance to reset the cooldown. Very good for the most brutal in-your-face fights.
Discharge:
Hits with Storm Fist have a chance to deal area of effect damage around the target. Good for taking on swarms of enemies like Hive Thralls or Fallen Stealth Vandals.
Illuminated:
Kills with Storm Fist significantly reduce the cooldown of Fist of Havoc. If you're good at using Fist of Havoc as it becomes available, this is a good option for you. Otherwise I'd recommend another upgrade.
Bonuses:
There are four bonus trees with different options for different playstyles. It seems you're only allowed to have one bonus in each tree. Below I've listed the bonuses based on their tree.
Codex Tree 1:
The first tree is your first half of the Titan Codexes.

Titan Codex I: Raises base Armor and Recovery.
Titan Codex II: Raises base Armor and Agility.
Titan Codex III: Raises base Recovery and Agility.

Boosts:
This tree doesn't have a specific title or theme. Each option is completely different.

Headstrong: Sprinting increases the leap distance of Fist of Havoc. Also slightly increases base Agility.
Aftershocks: Increases the duration of Pulse Grenade, Lightning Grenade, and Aftermath.
Transfusion: Kills with Storm Fist immediately trigger health regeneration.

Codex Tree 2:
The third tree is the second half of the Titan Codex options.

Titan Codex IV: Minor increases to Armor, Recovery, and Agility.
Titan Codex V: Massive increase to Recovery.
Titan Codex VI: Massive increase to Agility, with a minor increase to Armor.

Miscellaneous:
These bonuses all seem to be independent of each other. Unlike the other three trees, this tree isn't started by obtaining a certain level. This tree appears to be unlocked by using Fist of Havoc,

Unstoppable: You are harder to kill while using Fist of Havoc. Also grants a slight increase to base Armor.
Shoulder Charge: After sprinting for a short time, press R1 to unleash a devastating melee attack.
Juggernaut: After sprinting for a short time, gain a protective shield.

That wraps up the Striker specific details and recommendations guide. Please look forward to the Bladedancer and Defender, as well as both Warlock subclass breakdowns coming soon.

by GabrielKross (http://www.gameskinny.com/gs/gabrielkross)
The Warlock class focuses more on its grenades and special in combat. In an intense battle, the Warlock is designed to do massive AoE damage to the enemy from well thrown grenades and effective use of its special. I find the Scout Rifle, Shotgun, Rocket Launcher build is the most effective for this class.
Voidwalker Specifics:

Each subclass has its own unique style, meaning that when you play different subclasses the feel of the character will change. This guide is set to focus on the Warlock's Voidwalker subclass. The Voidwalker's primary theme is heavy Void based damage. Make sure you get the most out of your skills by aiming them at larger groups of enemies.
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/de53d95608f502ad60082de73cea9a12.jpg
Attribute Points:
Like most RPGs, Destiny also has attribute points, but they work slightly different. Attribute points are only acquired through equipping gear that has points on it. Below are the attribute points and how they affect the Voidwalker.

Intellect: Reduces the cooldown time of Nova Bomb, allowing you to use it more often.
Discipline: Reduces the cooldown of grenades, allowing you to use them more often.
Strength: reduces the cooldown of Energy Drain, allowing you to use it more often.

Grenades:

Here I'll cover all three grenade tiers available to the Voidwalker. To unlock higher tiers, you have to actively use your grenades. Whether it levels up based on kills with a grenade or just by use, I haven't figured out yet. To use your grenades, push L1 or the left shoulder button depending on which system you're using.
Vortex Grenade:

http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_be119cbb8035d0b781adc8fd0c5fa9e6.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/be119cbb8035d0b781adc8fd0c5fa9e6.jpg)

A grenade that creates a Vortex which continually damages enemies trapped inside.
Scatter Grenade:
A grenade that splits into many submunitions and covers a large area with explosions. This is really good for large groups of enemies.
Axion Bolt:
A bolt of Void Light which forks into smaller bolts on impact which seek towards enemies. Good for scattered enemies.
Jump:

The Warlock's Jump modifier is Glide. This is the same for both Voidwalker and Sunsinger, where they differentiate is the upgrades. To jump, push X or A depending on the system you use. Jump modifiers are really more about personal preference than anything else.
Glide:
Jump and then press X again while in the air to activate Glide.
Focused Control:
Upgrades Glide for better directional control while in the air. This allows you to better control where you wish to land.
Focused Burst:
Upgrades Glide to provide an initial boost of speed. Good for moving faster while trying to avoid big blasts.
Blink:
A short distance teleport which replaces Glide. Good for making yourself a harder target to hit in combat.
Special:

The Voidwalker's special is Nova Bomb. The upgrades are preference based for this option. To use your special, press L1 and R1 or the Xbox equivalent at the same time.
Nova Bomb:

http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/resized_7ac553ec4d79820784bfc3b82c71d726.jpg (http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/7ac553ec4d79820784bfc3b82c71d726.jpg)

Hurl an explosive bolt of Void Light at the enemy, disintegrating those caught in its blast. This ability is good for taking down strong enemies and large groups of enemies.
Vortex:
Nova Bomb creates a Vortex which continually damages enemies trapped inside.
Shatter:
Nova Bomb splits into three projectiles. Useful for scattered enemies in missions where they don't gather up frequently.
Lance:
Nova Bomb travels farther and faster. This allows you to essentially hit more enemies with a single use.
Melee Skill:
The Voidwalker's melee skill is Energy Drain. To use this skill, press R1 or the Xbox equivalent just like you would for a basic melee attack when the icon is full.
Energy Drain:
http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/591addb1968d079425d04d35ce0ed285.jpg

A powerful melee attack which drains energy from enemies and uses it to reduce the cooldown of your grenades. Very useful in allowing you to utilize your grenades more frequently.
Surge:
Killing an enemy with Energy Drain increases movement speed for a short time. Useful for avoiding melee enemies during combat.
Life Steal:
Killing an enemy with Energy Drain immediately restores a significant portion of your health. Only really useful if you play out in the open in the middle of the enemy.

Soul Rip:
Killing an enemy with Energy Drain reduces the cooldown of Nova Bomb. Very handy if you're consistently using Nova Bomb.
Bonuses:
There are four bonus trees with different options for different playstyles. It seems you're only allowed to have one bonus in each tree. Below I've listed the bonuses based on their tree.
Arcane:
The first tree is your Arcane tree, each option increases your base stats differently.

Arcane Wisdom: Raises base Recovery and Agility.
Arcane Spirit: Raises base Armor and Recovery.
Arcane Force: Raises base Armor and Agility.

Boosts:
This tree doesn't have a specific title or theme. Each option is completely different.

Vortex Mastery: Increases the range of Axion Bolt seekers and the duration of the Vortex effect of Nova Bomb and Vortex Grenade.
Bent Gravity: Increases the range of grenades and Nova Bomb. Also slightly increases the base Agility stat.
The Hunger: Increases the duration of the Energy Drain effect.

Orders:
The third tree is the Order tree, these are more specific stat specification boosts.

Ancestral Order: Minor increases to Armor, Recovery, and Agility.
Chaos Order: Massive increase to Agility.
Divine Order: Massive increase to Armor, with a minor increase to Recovery.

Miscellaneous:
These bonuses all seem to be independent of each other. Unlike the other three trees, this tree isn't started by obtaining a certain level. This tree appears to be unlocked by using Nova Bomb.

Angry Magic: Nova Bomb tracks enemies. Also gives a slight increase to Armor.
Embrace the Void: Damaging enemies with Nova Bomb or any grenade triggers the Energy Drain effect.
Bloom: Enemies killed by any of your abilities explode.

That wraps up the Voidwalker specific details and recommendations guide. Please look forward to the Bladedancer, Defender, and Sunsinger breakdowns coming soon.

Thats for the current subclasses... We will learn more about the other subclasses after the game is launched.
