Recommended accessories for PS4

Got a PS4 today (well it's waiting for pick up anyway). Two controllers, the Sony gold headset, thumbstick extenders/protectors, and a year of PS+.

What other accessories are recommended? I was looking into a media remote but it looks like there's no official one available, and the one on the market seems to be getting bad reviews.

I mostly only play shooters and sports games. Not sure if I'm missing anything that's on the "gotta have it" list. The pic on the Destiny bundle box seems to imply it comes with a vertical stand, does anybody know if it's indeed included? Any other suggestions?

I don't have one, but I suggest a charging dock. I plan on getting one soon. The battery in the controller seems to die a lot quicker than the PS3 remote.

I agree with the charging station, plan on grabbing it to. Be sure to turn the light bar in the controller to dim to help save battery life

Cool, thanks guys. I was planning on getting the dock but wanted to see if it was necessary first. I think upwards of 90% of use will be with one controller and I'm anal about unused controllers being charged, so I'm skipping it for now. If it's unbearable, I'll get the dock.

Sounds like Sony put shit batteries in there. Shame shame.

FWIW, the Destiny bundle did not come with a vertical stand at Best Buy. Reading up on it, I guess there's been a lot of confusion, with Sony saying they should be in the box for NA, then saying they'll be in some boxes in NA, and sprinkled in between are a bunch of "We don't really know"s.

Got BF4 too. So for all the shit I have given EA/DICE over this game, I've bought it for PC plus Premium, PS3, and now PS4 and probably Premium again. Damn it.

I've got the vertical stand for mine, it just takes up so much less space that way

I don't even know what those are. My sticks are fine.

Also I don't think it's a bad battery in the controllers, I think it's the light and speaker that use more battery power. You can adjust them now though.

I had read it was relatively common for the DS4 controllers to have issues with the surface material on the thumb sticks peeling. The extenders are basically covers that also give different grip pattern on the surface from what I can tell. People seem to be saying good things about them. I don't know, I've had every iteration of the PS and never used them, so I'm guessing I'll be resistant to liking the change, but we'll see.

Sounds like the only other thing you need is an XB1 , u know a real console...lol..... No really sounds like u got it going good, I love my kontrol freaks ( stick extenders ) they help soo much on long gaming seasons....

No issues with our control sticks, except the ones on the controller my wife's dog ate.
