Sooo yet again I've been screwed over by the VA guy at my college. Yes I've started to receive my money for books but NOTHING for the BAH. I've been retired now since July 24th.....when the VA guy sent up my paper work he still had me down as ACTIVE. This pisses me off more because not only that he waited till the last minute to get our Student Vets into the system. So now I have to wait another 2 weeks if not more to receive the money I am owed. Anyone else having to deal with this?

I'm still on active duty but I have had problems receiving G.I. Bill payments in the past. I went through an entire semester and was ready to begin the next and was still awaiting payment. I know it sucks calling and waiting on hold forever and a day, but call the VA, tell them that this is creating an economic hardship on you. It is important to use those specific words, economic hardship. The next thing I know my file was pulled up and processed while I was on the phone and my payment only took a couple of days.

I believe payments come at the end of the month. We don't get our BAH for this month until the 30th. You should have gotten your book money, plus a couple hundred bucks for the last few days we were in school last month.

I hate this system, but that could be why you haven't received your money.
