Two of us from work just went over 20 yesterday and were trying to speed another guy over the lvl19 hump so we just tried the daily mission challenge at 20 and man that was rough! Wound up dropping out after he broke over 20 because we couldn't make any headway. It was fun, but a straight pita!

I'm at 24, need to farm some rep to finally get purples.
This grind doesn't seem bad to me at all considering the other MMOs I've played. In fact, I'm a bit shocked at how quickly everything happens (as far as attainability) in Destiny.

Finally finished my exotic bounty request last night thanks to hagfish and murph! Team effort on that weekly heroic strike that I've been refusing to do cause it was the moon one. So now I have an exotic shotgun and sniper rifle. Bought the warlock gauntlets from that dude yesterday, nearly lvl 26! Still need to upgrade stuff!

all i need is a purple helmet and shards and ill be 29.
also my raid group made it to the final boss fight in the vault of glass, i got to be mario and fought a Boo; more like i shot a boo with an RPG and lets just say the raid group wasnt happy but yay!

hey my friend had a horrid streak like you but he eventually got a nice shotgun and it changed the next thing he got we couldnt believe it was an exotic helmet. it was the one that he wanted and the one thaat xur was selling this past weekend. another friend got the universal remote and i got a nice cape along with the vault gloves and chestpiece.

i have an exotic rocket launcher, thunderlord, and good advice lmg, which by the way is far worse than the thunderlord. and the lucky raspberry armor. that good advice lmg i got from an exotic bounty, i had to go to mars to find a loot cache.

Just received my second Erotic Bounty tonight.
I've taken a new approach to this game. Rather than try to hit some max level, I am focusing on obtaining all of the trophies. I'm working on titan now with the warlock to follow. This keeps my boredom/frustration low trying to find armor that both increases my light stat while keeping perks I like.

Yea I've sort of taken this approach too. I'm mainly just focusing on fully leveling up my fav weapons and armor. The components to upgrade will come in time. I can farm
What I can from the moon and Mars but it's the ascendant parts that have brought me to a stand still.
Also started a Warlock and a Titan Class and will really start full time on them once I get thru a raid

I think I burned myself out a bit on this.
I took the weekend off of it completely and didn't miss it. I definitely came at it too hard and fast.
Now I definitely do want to keep playing it for the raids and tougher stuff like the nightfalls but the thought of running around farming mats makes me shudder.

I've become somewhat disillusioned by Destiny at this point. I've just gone into strait trophy hunting mode. 2 max level characters down, 1 to go. Then comes all the Legendary/exotic gear trophies...

I've done most of VoGlass - Aerchon only left -Gorgon Lair sucks balls - but has 1 or 2 chests worth the attempts if everyone can make it
Boss fight is definitely a pain in the ass.
Level 27 almost 28.
Exotic gear includes: gloves / Auto Rifle / Sniper Rifle

Maybe some mission coordination? I was wondering if it would be possible for there to be one scheduled night a week that we could all -or some- be available for Nightfall Strikes? Maybe just be available for any mission folks want help with in this game? Just a thought...I am also wondering if there is some kind of underground movement that is against the use of mics?

Raids are somewhat frustrating. Have not been able to master beating the templar as of yet in raids; and only seem to get the shards and cape for the hunter (no raid set armor, weapons, etc acquired as of yet). :frusty:
