I'm level 25 but would only be available on a weekend. I expect to be 26 by Friday. Sucks they limit the marks to 100 per week. I'm just 2 marks short of legendary gauntlets

As a reformed raid leader after 60, 40, 20, and 10 man raids in WoW I said never again, but I may be willing to join if my school and life schedules ever allow.

I would like to run a few lower level missions with a group to get to know how they play and how I might contribute the most. I am a level 28 Sunsinger. I like the idea of team building. I have been practicing and leveling up gear and amour solo for the most part. I am still somewhat of a Noob but I am an enthusiastic one!
I'll try to get on this weekend

I'd love to get together with a raid team who can finish. :) I've been picked up by a few other groups and it has been a cluster. It hasn't helped that I've had no idea what was going on. I've been to the very beginning, somewhere in the middle and the very end.

I have been watching utube videos of VOG- only the first part so far. I am "studying on it." By the way, I am fully loaded for Void Walker too- I leveled up Sun Singer to save myself and/or my team from a "wipe."

Just Ducky! I am now confused with the patch. I was watching UTUBE to see what goes on in VOG. I am now primarily killing time and collecting legendaries and any exotics I can buy. Basically I have just been grinding away. I have made it to level 29. I almost made it through a nightfall by myself yesterday- so very close. Of course everything changed over this morning. I saw several online playing the new COD yesterday and have seen very few online the last few days playing Destiny. I have clocked in way too many hours playing the game. I have pre-ordered Dragon Age Inquisition and the Master Chief Collection. I am very hopeful that Dragon Age will be somewhere near as enjoyable as Skyrim. (I love that game except for the glitches and I lost Shadow...dammit I played that assassin thing just to get Shadow. I truly grieved my lost horse.) I digress...so I dunno it kinda looks like the Clan is back to COD. Rock on!

As stated ...I can proceed no further in Destiny. I truly regret having paid for the season pass but it is what it is...I do not like having to depend on others to progress in a game I paid for, and this game is not what I thought it was going to be with all the hype. Both Master Chief and Dragon Age have been ordered and are days away from delivery. I am interested to play Halo to see how far I have come my efforts to learn to game. I played a little Halo to start so I will see if I can see the progress there. I do know I have gotten better. It seems to me that USMG is more about Battlefield and COD than any other games. It also seems that recently the clan has become a bit more "competitive" rather than cooperative. I base this on one member's requirement that if one wanted to join their raid party, one "must be level 29+ and experienced." Gee, next I guess a gamer resume will be required and oh of course the K/D. There are other clans and other groups- so no problem at all-but it is sounding bit different than "it is about the gamer next to you." Just thought I would toss my opinion in the mix of things.

The reason for the 29-30 level for the raid is that anything lower and you will be doing close to no damage because the enemies level with each segment as for the cod situation it's a new game of course people are going to be all over as well as one of the main games this community plays and plus being competitive isn't bad just like being casual isn't bad this community has a place for everyone you just have to find your niche

VOG opened at level 26 not level 29, so I guess we can put it on Bungie as a bad game plan. They should not have level 28 Nightfalls either because you cannot get the gear and materials without a fire team. (well maybe with a lot of luck and grinding) Kinda like the hot pocket mountain dew drinking kids running in a pack. It is up to the individual if they are ok with other gamers increasing the "requirements." I have played about 400 hours and I have seen this going on before COD launched. I am doing research as well as playing on topics like game mechanics, gamer relationships, and avatars as gamer alter egos. You are absolutely correct in finding a niche-I know mine is RPG. Destiny's VOG is PVE not PVP- regardless...we can all have fun doing our own thing. No problem.

Destiny is an MMO. End-game content in MMO's are almost exclusively group based, and are nearly always item grinds. This is pretty standard, actually.

Under the USMG app, a clan member is excluding other clan members from play with that team based on his own "requirements." So, that would be like saying "one may not play with USMG unless one is an elite player" in a game like COD. I am not picking on this guy- merely using this as an example. He has further refined his requirements to "level 29 +, experienced, and preferably Titan Class." (The largest class in Destiny is the Warlock.) Apparently I am the only person who feels this is not right and may be a turn off to others who might be interested in playing with USMG. I would not have a problem with this if he was repping himself all by his lonesome, but he is putting this out there under USMG. This does not reflect " casual gaming" nor does it reflect "it is about the gamer next to you." Nope, sorry- not about the history of MMOs and this game was hyped as a hybrid by the way and ...nice try on deflecting... and on a personal level... it does not change my original thought that I would not have a problem progressing because I have clan mates. I have however enjoyed helping others players progress in the game who are not USMG. Once again-NO BIG to me except I am uncomfortable with one member arbitrarily excluding other clan members. Since two of you have jumped in to defend this approach of exclusivity, and are somehow under the impression I am somehow mistaken, ignorant, or perhaps just "ill informed" I will stand down in this forum.

There is nothing in the by-laws that states every member must play with every member. If this member is putting requirements on a team there is probably a good reason for it. Maybe the plan is to play VOG on hard which would be extremely challenging or nearly impossible for a lvl 27 to play. He is probably preferring a Titan Class because he's looking for a balanced team. I think you are making more out of this than needs to be. If you want to do a VOG run, there is nothing stopping you from putting it out there and asking if anyone wants to run it with you.

I have to agree with bobbibot. Part of a clan is helping each other out. By taking on lower level players your cultivating experienced raid groups versus individual players. I will gladly help anyone in the community although we will have to pick the activity based on your level. We will never have raiding power unless we work together and lift each other up. This lack of cooperation has honestly made me think once or twice why I joined the community. Working together to reach a goal is why you join a gaming community right?
EDIT: On a side note VOG normal is very doable with a lvl 26. With good communication a mix of 28s/29s with one or even two level 26s is doable. The only hard part is the conflucs and aetheon. Four 29s and two 26s can do Aetheon because a 29 will also be tped and they use the relic. It is possible but requires good communication thus the reason why were a clan.

This clan does help each other out. In numerous ways that go beyond just gaming. It appears to me that Bobbibot is not asking for help with a raid. Bobbibot is wanting to join a raid that appears to me to be above her capability. If they want a high level experienced group that is their right. Just as it's the right of anyone that wants a low level group to limit their group to low levels (hey an opportunity to create a Lvl a new one). The purpose of this clan was to bring together a bunch of like minded folks with a common background to increase their circle of friends to play with. It is not the purpose of this clan to force everyone to play with everyone. We would have fallen apart years ago if that were the case because there are personality conflicts that occur with so many Alpha type personalities.
The edit in the above post also just outlined desirable groupings that someone could interpret as putting "conditions" on joining a raid team. There is nothing wrong with wanting to put a team together that would create a fun experience. You can't tell me it would be fun for the whole group to have to continually look after and babysit a low level. That puts more stress on everyone else. Especially in a raid where everyone has to hold up their part.
If any lower levels want to put a low-level raid team together. By all means do it. I'm sure you'll find folks willing to run it with you.

Either way from day one if raid groups were formed then we wouldn't be in this boat. The more people in the clan that are geared up then the larger pool you have to play with. As of right now the pool seems small. I see her point of view.... Let it be known I am level 29 and honestly received no assistance from this clan getting there. Most request seemed to fall on deaf ears so I did it myself or found randoms. It would be nice if clan mates made more of a effort to do things with other clan mates. Otherwise why have a clan. Just my 2 cents

Okay, so just to make sure I have the points being presented correct, and forgive the MMO vernacular, but what we have is one member of USMG's Destiny "guild" trying to create a "party" which is both level and class appropriate, in an attempt to maximize his chances of success in completing a high-level "raid/dungeon/event"? And this exclusion of players not meeting the requirements he's asking for is a problem, because it's not all inclusive.
Now, ignoring the fact that this is a standard practice in pretty much every MMO (and hybrid MMO) made, I'm assuming this complaint was brought up as you feel it somehow violates USMG's rules or by-laws. It does not. That being said, what exactly do you propose as a solution?
As a side note, you mentioned USMG's slogan, It's about the Gamer next to You. Now, maybe this is only my interpretation, but that slogan has next to nothing to do with the actual act of playing a game. It's not about helping someone unlock a new gun or get an achievement, though those things can and do happen. It's about taking a shared passion and building a community that is there to support someone through a family death, a fight with cancer, raising money for children's hospitals, or battling depression. Those are the things that define this community, not the actions in any one of a dozen different games the community has a presence in at any given time.
Edit: sorry for the novel. Can't sleep, lot on my mind.
