Worse day ever?

I was in Michigan visiting with a very ill grandfather.

My two year old has a small hairline fracture while horse playing with cousins larger than he.

As the fracture was done on the day my family was to return to Florida(driving) we had the local urgent care splint his arm until we got back home.

Driving took a little under 23 hours, most of which I had to do myself as the wife felt "uncomfortable" driving

First stop after the drive, hospital for the kid. They are unable to see the fracture but cast his arm to be safe. As anyone that has had or current has, a 2 year old, this was difficult.

Get out of hospital just in time to go to night job. Fall asleep midway though shift from lack of sleep, get caught, get fired. Job was easy, close to my house and paid well.

So tommorrow I get to try to find a job and deal with a toddler that has an arm in a cast.

Holy shit, dude. That's going to be hard to top. That is really shitty that you got fired that easily. Did they even let you explain the situation?

For me... hmmm... I can't think of a major one. The only shitty day that comes to mind is kind of complicated and a long story, haha. I'll probably post it tomorrow. It's too late right now.

Yeah they let me explain and despite proof, there was no understanding.

I guess I just wanted to vent about this perfect storm of dookie and this was the only place I could think of.

Wish me luck in the job search. Although I'm not the religious type, I would not be offended by prayers sent my way by each person's respective religion.

Best of luck to you Gamer, I hope everything works out. Just keep your head high and remember, it could always be worse.

As for my worst day it was 2 years ago. Juat another day doing casevac flights, and got only one call that day, a corpsman from FF. Ended up being my buddy on the stretcher, was a pretty shitty feeling. While a shitty situation i still don't think it compairs to Gamers, you have kids and a family to take care of. If you ever need help remember were all family here.

If have to say my worse day was the day we found out that my cousin was being airlifted out of Afganistan to Germany and that he was in bad shape. He was questionable for about weeks but finally stabilized.

As for me, my shittiest day happened a while a go, during high school. I was a stupid kid who made some bad choices. I skipped lunch, drove off campus to go drink with some bad influences. Came back to school after about two hours, super drunk. A teacher saw me pull back into campus, he approached me to ask me why my shirt wasn't tucked in (we had a uniform and dress code). I can't remember what I said, but he smelt liquor on my breath. He took me to the principals office.

While talking to the principal, I tried to play it off, acting like I wasn't drunk. They called the police, they gave me a breathalyzer, told me I was super drunk. I asked to use the principal's restroom, and puked all over his toilet. My parents had to come get me from school. I had to listen to them rip me a new one for hours.

I got suspended for 10 days, which included a board meeting to determine if I was going to be kicked out of school and be sent to an alternative school. They gave me a break, since it was the first time I had gotten in trouble. I was also disqualified from Mr. "High-school Name", a contest that I was winning by a land slide. It could have been worse though (DUI, underage drinking, expelled, etc.)

I learned my lesson though. I got my shit together in school. I stopped hanging out with bad influences, and focused on my future.

The day they told me my 8 month old daughter was going to die if she didn't get a liver transplant. Pretty much my worst day.
