So I'm sure there's at least a small percentage of us that are Star Wars fans. What do yall think about the new Battlefront coming out? Do you plan on getting it? And what are your expectations for it with it being made by DICE?

Oh sir you may have opened up a can of worms with this topic. There has been quite a lot of discussion about the game. Some have been really iffy about the DICE part. But either way most will probably get the game.

The way I see it, most likely it's going to be be Battlefield with a Star Wars skin and texturing. But with the lack of footage who knows.

I have faith in DICE making a solid game. The only time I get iffy with them is when they try to do dedicated story modes which, like it or hate it, this game is already stated not to have. That on top of the fact that the story elements that are there is already a fleshed out universe, I think there is a really good chance that DICE is going to deliver.

Everything I've heard on actual gameplay footage from gaming press is that it looks pretty damn good (and they said the demo was playing on a ps4 so no super computer tricks at play here)
so if nothing else we'll be getting a very pretty game in a beloved setting

BWHAHAHAHA Small?? OMG you just dont know!! we got ALOT of Lucas Fan Boys here!!!!! from the die hards to the causal... me included!!!

I'm an expanded universe fan. I'm a Revanchist at heart and love the Mando wars. The movies are great especially the original trilogy but I love backstory. I love knowing the full history of everything. And I have very hight hopes for the new game and the new movie.

yeah ive read 3/4 of all the EU.. was very disappointing when the made it non cannon.. Thrawn would have been a BADASSS in the movies!! and i Dont care !!! BOBA FETT LIVES DAMMIT!!!

It's undeniable that Lucas himself said everything not in the movies "non-cannon". However that doesn't mean he is by any means against "non-cannon". Lucas Arts made many games to include but not limited to both KOTORs, and Republic Commando. All of which are fantastic games by the way.

This!!!! So pissed. Especially when it meant cancelling the Sword of the Jedi trilogy. A whole series about Jaina Solo Fel? Would have been sick!

No worries, it's not a big deal. It's pretty simple work for a mod to merge this with another Battlefront thread.
It just goes to show you, whether you think it's going to succeed or fail, everyone is still really excited about more star wars

That's if the mod ever wakes up lol. But I'm excited to actually see gameplay for the new BattleFront, but DAMMIT I WANT REPUBLIC COMMAND 2!!!!!! Give me want I want LucasArts

Just use the search bar (or on tapatalk, the search function) and enter the main premise in as few words as possible (e.g. "Battlefront").

I'm not actually getting onto you, and it's not a offense. I just give people crap about stuff all the time :biggrin1:
