Questions about MRE's

I hope this is the right place to post this but I wanted to ask you guys what the best MRE or other long storage food that you have had is. I would just like to know if I ever purchase some to have an idea of what to look for.

I always found the vegetarian MREs the best tasting. Maybe because they weren't bothering trying (poorly) to emulate some form of "meat"

This. Pretty much all the vegetarian ones were the best. My personal favorite was meatballs with marinara sauce - the meat wasn't bad but it had so much extra - skittles, blueberry cobbler, and bread with cheese spread!

I'm just wondering because when I do long travels or am up north or out hunting I don't like to make stops or leave my spot if I'm hunting as well as some food storage for shtf at my cabin up north

Lol I know vegetarian options have been available at least since 2000, they were there before I got in for sure

Yeah they're quite good but very expensive. But they are light weight, so that's a plus
