View Full Version : email from airman
Could one of you look into this. I replied back, you guys should have it in your recruiting mailbox.
Thanks!
To Whom It May Concern:
I did everything you asked me to, but I guess the person I added went on vacation for the 4th weekend (I was working by the way, as most of us Flight line Airmen do) because I never saw that they accepted my friend invite on XBOX…
To be called a “military” organization, you would think that there would be a tighter shape of things so these minor oversights could be handled.
Let me know if you reconsider your offer to allow me to join your clan.

Ya I read it and also i was around the whole 4th of July..I gave him amble amount of time to add me and never got a request. I have other recruits that followed the procedure to take care of. Simply put I cut him due to him not responding.. I guess i would revisit allowing him in since he took the initiative to email us..I emailed 20 recruits the same email and so far hes the only one to respond so that says something
I just received this from after my message to him, so now i'm kinda over him.
If he's gonna be a bitch about it, he can go post himself. :o
TLOG - You make the call. :D
Chris,
30 days? I only signed up like last week after reading an article in OXM…
Is this another oversight?

Hi Mark,
I apologize, but I'm uncertain of your situation. I will bring this to the attention of the recruiting team to see if their was a break down in our recruiting cycle. We pride ourselves of being a home for every soldiers/sailers/marines/airmen, and certainly do not wish to turn away one of our brethren.
Usually rejections are only made after several contact attempts and 30 days have passed. We understand that you get deployed. We did too, which is why if contact has been attempted and messages have been exchanged, we extend every courtesy possible.
However, accidents happen, we are only human, and if those lines do breakdown, or a mistake has been made, I will be happy to address it and remedy it for you. :-)
Sincerely,
Chris aka smoke

He may be persistent, but I replied that I was going to help him, and he acted like a jerk, like we have some obligation to let him in, because he makes a bullshit reply to me.. I'm sorry, but I was being nice, and you sling another asshole comment. IMO - this guy is gonna be trouble.

No prob. After rereading it, I see the sense of entitlement. We're a small group. Not the gaming VA so if he's acting like this, forget it. Let's move on.
Thank ya sir.
Lesson learn't here; don't be an asshat to the guy attempting to render assistance..

Glad you made the call you did. I read that application and this caught my eye:
Being an older gamer, I have experience from many different genres and love to share my level of expertise.
Which really reads as:
"I know everything, and I love telling people what to do."

A new user has signed up via the enlistment form, named Sir Raunaldi.
This explains more of his attitude. I also thought his letter he wrote the first time was a little nasty.
