So at 2130 my desk gets a call about a person stuck and locked in his office in one of the hangers by the flight-line. Half hour before we get off work. Fire Department was called to get this guy out. How in the hell do you lock yourself in your office????

Maybe.... he was having his lunch (a big chicken and mayo sub roll) which he put down on the desk. He went to lock the door and the phone rang. He unwittingly put the key down during the telephone conversation onto the sub roll. He finishes his call and starts munching away at the sandwich when the phone rings again (they always ring when you're eating don't they!) soooo....he answers the phone and it's his boss... he doesn't want to speak to his boss with a mouthful of sandwich and so he swallows the entire mouthful (plus key) in one go.

oops...locked in his office!

You see Indy...there is always a reasonable and simple explanation for these things

Huh I guess it was an easy and simple explanation. I guess I should have thought about it a little harder lol.

An oily door knob. Or oily hands that can't turn a doorknob. Just ask Jack.

after a while you develop a technique to open oily door knobs, especially when the fire dept starts to charge you for each visit    .

Sage advice. And I don't think anyone is surprised that you had that answer.

I think I am more surprised the door, locked or not, couldn't be opened from the inside. Isn't that against Fire code?

I would think it would be. I wish I was the one that got the call for it but I wasn't on a police unit that day. I'm sure the fire department will look into it though.

Maybe he had no arms, and he had to use his feet to call you. Why are you picking on people with no arms.....

Isn't that why they made blutooth. And the help I have fallen and can't get up button?

Guess he just failed to overcome and adapt.

LOLOLOL you're funny. My unit is to damn poor for stuff like that. Besides it's a reserve unit and the full time side only gets so much money and they wouln't think of something like that.

Nice. We are getting the shotguns and the less then lethal rounds for them soon so it will be a matter of time now. There is talk of carrying those on post instead of the M4's. Not sure if I like that idea to much though.

only non-lethal stuff we got was beanbag rounds for the m203 and a paintball gun. The paintball was fun for shootin donkeys and iraqi cars!
