the idea is someone post a trivia question on any subject, and whoever gets it right wins points, and then whoever answered the question would post the new one and the cycle would go on from there or something like that

i for one would enjoy something like this but, much like the caption contest thread i made, it is dependant on people actually giving a damn and participating on the site and there seems to be a huge lack of that around here. Nearly 200 members now and only 27 voted for member of the month? barely scraping over 10% site participation :x

i am down for trivia, but only if i know the answers so that i can feel smart (nerdy Star trek questions please)

i haven't been posting lately 'cause my internet machine was causing me troubles. But amiable horde fixed it for me and I am back up and running. i don't wanna get purged.

The last time we did a purge members had to at least have 5 or more posts. I think members had about a month or more to get that. It wasn't for everyone just the ones that signed up and never really seen on here again. Not really hard to do if you ask me.

The questions will be based off of anything, if you know the answer be the first to post and you win. Might be a time limit of 24 hours on it, and once it's answered, its closed and locked by the mods

let's just go for it. Post it up in the captains cabin and i'll sticky it. If no one wants to be active then oh well, their loss, i'll just rack up the points for trivia questions :mrgreen:

also, since i have the ability to modify USMG points and we don't have many ways of winning them outside of just posting or the tournaments, let's do it with this like you suggested, and i'll add it to the caption contest thread i made too. 100 points per win? 200? what do we think is a fair prize?

this was an interesting thread. started out with "hey lets start a trivia game" than moved to "hey lets purge people" and then ended with "lets just do the trivia thing". I was fully expecting a "lets purge everyone at the end of this thread!haha

Yeah, I finally got through all the new post and seen the new trivia thread. That sounds good to me!
