Hey guys..First i would like to say that Max and I have to keep updating the spreadsheets because nobody else is..So you guys need to start doing so. Also when doing a verification you need to instruct them that they need to fill out the enlistment and be particpating on this site. several members that have been verified havent even logged in since they first signed up..that should not be happenening. we need to make sre they are or they cannot be a part of this site..SITE Participation is key here..Also from now on before you reactivate a recruit run it by myself or max to do so.. we will decide if they should be reactivated once they have been deactivated by us. Do not do this yourself. We do give second chances but we have the timeline for a reason. If they cant comply then maybe they arent a good fit for us.

That's fine and dandy, and i'm not sure why the spreadsheet thing is breakin down.

The issue i'm having is almost all these guys that add me haven't even submitted an application, yet they still end up on the spread sheet. Then i get these complaints (because they aren't on when i'm on) about i added you and no response.? I'm at work now but i'll give you a list of names i have (4 or so) that i've had for at least 2 days. and i still don't see their app even though i've replied.

Ya that tends to happemn.. before i verify i tell them to go to the site and apply like the email said.. Also those same guys also added me but never responded so i cut them no worries there..You and i are both on so they cant say we arent

it's because they don't have to submit an application before they get sent the email. it used to be that way a while back but after a meeting between timmy, sav, and TLOG, they decided to change it to once a user signs up on the forums we go into the admin control panel, get their email address and send the email. They should be filling out the application but the process can still be completed without it. This is where using the spreadsheet becomes very important because if they have no application on here for us to log information then the spreadsheet is going to be the only place for us to all get on the same page with the status of a recruit

I have the process detailed in the recruiting 101 post

I mean no disrespect, but that is totally ass backwards. Why are we hunting for recruits? we shouldn't be emailing these people until they have submitted an application.
That's the entire purpose for the "APPLICATION"; it is there for them to apply to the clan.

application - a verbal or written request for assistance or employment or admission to a school; "December 31 is the deadline for applications"
job application - an application for a job
credit application - an application for a line of credit
loan application - an application to borrow money
patent application - an application for sole rights to an invention
petition, request, postulation - a formal message requesting something that is submitted to an authority

I normally dont email them until they apply...Also as of late we have deactivated a few people and then they send us nasty emails.. Like the one today in our inbox..He requested me way after we deactivated him and then bugged the shit out of me..My opinion..if you cant follow the rules then you are a no-go

ok so if we are going to go back to the way it once was, only sending out emails after they submit an application then we are going to need to 1st, get TLOG's approval, then update the email templates to give the most up to date instructions, and finally, we will need to come up with a new timeline. We would need to decide how long they can be an active user without submitting an application before they get cut, and if we send them some form of warning/reminder, in what form should it be sent and when.

also, the auto-response message that gets sent out needs to be adjusted since it still says to introduce yourself in the intros forum

agreed. I have never sent out emails to a member who didnt have an application and i give them 48 hours from the time they register to apply. If they dont even log in after that, then i delete them and havent heard anything from any of them so they must not have been serious..It is to hard to chase after the users who cant follow the directions. We all have lives outside of the website. As far as the template goes...i believe it is up to date..

very well about the template, i haven't looked at it yet, i just knew it mentioned about filling out the application if you had not already so i figured that would need to be removed

Id say let's leave it be for the time being just to cover our bases and they could never sat that we didn't tell them
