I know I should have placed this in the Suggestions/Ideas forum, but because of how far-fetched this sounds, but, I think that in the far crazed out future, we should eventually throw a dinner event of some sort somewhere or something. I think something like that (in a perfect world where everyone has plenty of money to blow) would be awesome. Just a ramble. :shock:

That sure would be nice. Like a huge family reunion, with the families and everything. A park pavilion and a giant Picnic would be the easiest I think. I vote the men should cook. :D We can man the horseshoe pits (beers in hand).

Logistics on that would probably be tough, especially for those still on active duty, but I'd be up for something. Especially if it's somewhere in Florida. Central Illinois in January is definitly not happenning. :D

we had the idea of doing some sort of USMG outing a while back but it eventually fell to the wayside and has been collecting dust ever since
this idea was floated back on the old webs.com site, we are just to spread out.
Ive been working it out in my head of having a South East meetup sometime, and each region does the same.

That'd be bitchin! So long as I don't PCS too far away from the SE area; I think we're heading to Bragg next, so that's not too far.
Logistics on that would probably be tough, especially for those still on active duty, but I'd be up for something. Especially if it's somewhere in Florida. Central Illinois in January is definitly not happenning. :D

Like Max and Sav said, this idea has been suggested over and over again since the inception of the clan. If memory serves me right, someone actually offered to start getting estimated prices on airline tickets to certain locations we had suggested.
25th and I talked offline about trying to meet up and maybe get folks out of the northeast region together.

If the wives are occupied at disney with the kids I'm not thinking golf is the best thing to do..If my memory serves me correctly the beaches near there have thousands of beautiful "sights" to see

yeah, but it's still an hour drive to Cocoa. After the kind of drinking we'd be doing with the "sight seeing" it's probably not advisable. We could always charter a bus with a keg though. Hmmmmm.

no offense, but it's never my idea to bring sand to the beach. :D
edit: I forgot you're not from here- bringing sand to the beach is like bringing your wife/girlfriend to a place where their are already women. Besides, you'll be helping to watch the kids.
