ok now don't misread this, i'm not talking about the avatars you see in the friends list, i'm talking about the user avatars that are on the far left in the XMB, where you change users if you have multiple users for one PS3.
with that being said, am i the only one that just now found out you can set custom avatars for that? I was under the impression i could only choose between those couple colored profile silhouettes and smiley faces. I haven't bothered changing those in ages but was bored today and went to switch it and i noticed an option to the right that lets you upload from the photos folder. I proceeded to save a picture in that folder, selected it for an avatar, and then deleted the picture from the folder (i'm a neat freak and i don't like random files on my PS3) and now i have the same avatar i have on here, on my PS3. Kind of cool i thought but was more surprised in the fact that i never noticed you could do that
