A "Deal" has been cancelled for the burning of the Kuran. The preacher wants the new Mosque that is to be built near the 9/11 site moved. If that happens, he would not burn the Kuran. I say "SCREW THAT!!!" Burn that f*cker!!! They burn OUR FLAG over there and think we don't care or have feelings? I wish I could go to Florida...I would stand behind him!!! This is bullsh*t!! Now they say that we the USA is at war with Islam? WTF??? The President was sworn in, not on the Bible, but the Kuran?!!! Surely that would just inflame the extremists further and put the soldiers at increased risk? As well as encouraging more terrorist attacks? I'm not sure stooping to their level would be worth it :|

It makes sense...religion seems to cause more problems than anything else :? You would imagine religion would make better people...compassion for others etc ...but it seems to be the opposite more often than not.

I respectively disagree with you. You make a very rational well thought out argument. However, extremist by nature are not rational. It doesn't really matter what we do. They will ALWAYS hate us and burn our flag and chant "Death to America" The extremist want this country gone. Period. And no mater what we do, or don't do. They will still want us gone.

When they crashed planes into the twin towers. What had we done then? Nothing. Hadn't invaded their country. Hadn't burned the kuran. Yet they still attacked us. And we could never stoop to their level. They cut off the heads of Journalist. They stone women for Adultery. They kill POW's. We are already better than them.

Hang on there Squid, my father has recently become an ordained minister, after being an acoholic for most of his life, he finally saw the light (so to speak); and also just returned to the U.S. from a 2-month trip to Haiti to help rebuild from the earthquake (pics coming soon), so I don't think all people who quote scriptures are idiots, as he just did in one of his last emails from Haiti.
