It's pushing 2300 hours here at home, having just got back from 10 hour round trip drive to Lexington, KY and back. On top of that, we spent about two or three hours with my son going through exams and research evaluations. Slept about four hours last night. Needless to say, I'm completely whooped. yeah, Radec was such a douche. Fighting him wasn't the hardest part though, it was how he sent hordes of elite troops after you before hand. Then it's just a matter of blasting him with a shotty whenever he spawned near you. Like i was saying the Shack_up the other day, this game seems like it would have been perfect for a online co-op mode, with the way you are almost always with a partner. Would have been great because Rico is almost no help on that final battle

You have a clan invite waiting on you whenever you get on the multiplayer portion. The tag is UMG. Same goes for Max, InkaBod, and Aaron (if you're still out there). TLOG and dbg already accepted.

I have not heard anything legitimate about KZ3 but with that ending you gotta expect that it will be coming soon. Sequels that make the jump to the next gen console usually take a long time because they basically have to redesign from the ground up but with it being on the same console it's more like making an expansion pack, the graphics and physics engines and character models are already made. Here's to hoping we see it sometime this year or early next year :D

If you've never seen it before, this is an example of the match replay that KZ2 has. In this particular match, I'm rank #14 (you can toggle my name tag if you scroll down and check the block next to my name). I want to point out that the guy on the Helghast team rankd #5 (RalekSideon) was pulling some MAJOR, blatant lag switching. Didn't do him much good though. His team lost, he kept getting grenaded to death, and I think his other teammates eventually booted him.

I don't think this will require you to log in to the site. The beautiful thing is, you can download this to your computer as .XML file and upload it later for replay if you wish.

I've got all of them. My favorite map in and of itself is the beach head, which is a hold over from the first Killzone. My favorite weapons are the bolt gun and flame thrower. The trick is, when playing online you don't find all large number of people who play them. When you do, the matches usually turn out to be pretty fun.

i have them all as well but i agree with what you two are saying, if you really don't plan on playing that much anyways they may not be all that worth it. Perhaps just consider the one pack that comes with the boltgun and flamethrower levels?

I have actually never finished the single player on this game. :oops: When I first got it back when I got my system I just mainly played online with a buddy from my home town. I don't even know if I am half way through it yet. Maybe if I am extremely bored one day I need to hop on there and finish it.

Well since the saves were system locked, I lost it when my FAT PS3 got a sudden case of not F'ing working anymore and had to get a new PS3 with my warranty since Best Buy doesn't repair them just replace them. It was almost 2 years old. It died young. RIP you save stealing bastard. Even if you backup your system regularly like I do some saves will not transfer because of the copy protected BS. Unless someone has an Idea how to retrieve it from a backup file from another system which I believe I still have.

yes, the KZ2 save is locked and can only be used on a single system. Even if you back it up, it can only be restored to that original system. It is quite annoying but at least it doesn't seem to be a common trend for saves. KZ2 and Rockband 2 are the only ones i've come across that are like that. I think Burnout Paradise was in the beginning but they unlocked it via on of the patches. So i think the only way to unlock a save is if the devs patch it as such.


I lost my save as well but luckily i had already beat it on the regular difficulty and got a majority of the single player trophies so i didn't lose much. I just ran through easy and knifed the hell out of almost every enemy until i beat it again and unlocked the highest difficulty and got all the hidden intel stuff.

The Multiplayer stuff is all saved online so at least that stays with you no matter if you lost your save or not

it's not something you HAVE to do, but it is a good idea, just like backing up your computer hard drive.

It's pretty easy to do though, just connect an external drive of some kind, so long as it has sufficient space to hold all your files (I use a 500gig external HDD), then from the XMB, go to settings, then down to system settings, then down to backup utility. just follow the directions and it's simple enough.

In one of the most recent Firmware updates they also added the ability to transfer from one PS3 to another, you just connect them together and it can transfer everything over. I never did hear if the copy protected saves transfer or not with this method but at least it makes it extremely easy to upgrade to a slim if you make that choice

Thanks MAX and River_Rat for reminding me tonight why I stopped playing that garbage game Killzone 2. Stupid noob bots are cheap no skill kills. No offense to you guys but to the game for having them. That's why I always used to host when I play. I would block all bots and launchers and just use rifles and pistols. Either that or join pistol only matches. Thanks again and sorry for not staying but I had enough of the one hit kills from the over accurate bots. I'll stick with games where I'm actually getting kill by another player and not bots.

the game itself is still enjoyable, got a decent campaign mode and good visuals. Online is, as you can see, is a little hit or miss for some people but the game itself is still fun

Killzone 2 has won the award for 'Best Original Video Game Score' in a first for the prestigious Ivor Novello awards.

It might seem a little late, considering Guerilla Game's PS3 title released in early-2009, but Killzone 2 and its composer Joris de Man have grabbed the first award for a video game in the Ivor's history.

"The Ivors has always sought to reflect the ever-changing world of song-writing and composing," said Mark Fishlock, director of the Ivors Committee.

"The video games market has matured beyond recognition and big budget orchestral scores are regularly being commissioned."

The Ivor Novello awards are considered one of the most prestigious in the music industry, with the 55th ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London yesterday.

Killzone 2 was nominated for best video game score alongside Savage Moon: Waldgeist and Total Empire: Total War. Killzone 2's soundtrack, which was recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London, took the coveted prize.
