I have never tried any of the other Civilization games. How are they? I did play Sid Meier's Pirates or something like that and it was quite fun.

Pirates was fun for a little while, but then it got redundant.

I've done that many times with both this and Total War. Very good games.

I'm totally hooked on this game it's amazing! I used to play Age of Empires but this is a lot different being turn based. I love the complexity and the strategy. You have to think ahead and the diplomacy system is really cool. Spent a few sleepless nights on it already!

I got the Gold Edition pack on steam for $25 and it was worth every penny! Almost reminds of of the days when I used to play Axis and Allies with my buddy. Games would last days, I actually miss setting up the board that was a fun game.

When I am alone I just play the standard start from the Ancient Age. The one game we have going now is that way, just an open world from the beginning.

We could set up a scenario and play that way.

We can play scenarios together? Sometimes I like to start at later ages I'm down for whatever though. We'll probably have to start a new one once you get the DLC it changes the game quite a bit I think.

The setup screen is pretty specific as far as customization for the MP games. I will have to check again to be sure about the scenarios though.

And we will probably have to start a new game for the rest of the group to get in.
