looks pretty apparent that they are opening up for a sequel. I really enjoyed Portal so i look forward to this

April Issue of Gameinformer has a massive article about Portal 2. After reading it it makes me want to get Portal and prepare myself for #2. They say the release date will be Fall 2010.

look into the orange box for any platform of your choice, it has Portal along with team fortress 2, Half-life 2, and half-life 2:episodes 1 and 2. Can't beat the price for 5 games :)

i picked my copy up from gamestop new for 20 bucks, the website shows it as 17.99 used

i got a copy of the orange box off of ebay for $11 shipped. pretty good games for that cheap. team fortress 2 got old pretty fast though. portal is awesome, did they update the version for the ps3?

as far as i know they only made a patch for the PC version. I imagine that's probably the easiest version to update

Amazing what happens when you combine a stellar game with a free price tag.

In an update on Valve Software's Steam blog, the developer says there have been approximately 1.5 million downloads of Portal since it was offered for free to PC and Mac owners last week.

The deal was launched in conjunction with the arrival of the Steam online service on Apple computers. Users have until May 24 to scoop up their free copy.

Valve also released some interesting figures on Mac user habits on Steam. According to their findings, two-thirds of Steam for Mac users are running the service through a laptop. Also, more than 11% of purchases made on Steam have been by Mac owners.

I've been using the Mac service off-and-on for the past week and it has been very enjoyable. The number of games available is limited (about 90 titles to choose from) but Valve says they will release new sets of Mac titles every week for the next few weeks, including a dozen pushed out Wednesday.

No word on whether one of those upcoming Mac title sets will feature the Valve catalog, with games such as Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike and Half-Life. When making their announcement in March, Valve had said their titles would be available in April along with Steam for Mac.

they had originally said mean things and that portal 2 would not be on consoles but today at the Sony press conference it was unveiled that it will in fact be on the PS3. They didn't specify more but it can be assumed it will be on 360 as well.

now that i rewatched it, i forgot he said that it would be the PS3 version would be the best console version so duh, obviously it will be on 360 :oops:

They are going to utilize steam to handle updates on the PS3 and from what i gather, that was the big key factor in them bringing portal 2 to consoles, that they would be able to have full control of their own title updates.

anyone who hasn't played the first one, get it. very imaginitive. i'm definetly getting the next one.
