I picked up Need for Speed hot pursuit at midnight. It is beautful and fun and does an excellent job of conveying speed. I am like Ricky Bobby, I want to go fast and the game gives you the sensation in barrels. Looking forward, Homefront seems to be the next thing I am excited about. Although many promising shooters will be released before it. Crysis 2, Brink, Bulletstorm and more.

I have them but I've been sidetracked by too many other games. FOR SHAME!! How are you going to play Brotherhood, when it's a continuation of 2? Which furthers the story of 1? It's not like skipping Mario and Mario 2, to get right in to the action of Mario 3. It's like skipping Star Wars episode 4 and 5, just to watch 6. :p

Though I agree, this is the next big game I'm picking up....in about 20 minutes :) After this...probably Mass Effect 3.

He gave me a heads up about all the unlocks they were throwing out in the demo while at his Son's B-Day party. There were more than I thought. 3 unlocks for Reckoning and the 1 for Mass Effect 3.

I just played that demo last night. It's a pretty fun game. The guy who made Spawn (Todd McFarlane) had a lot to do with the art direction I believe.

Yea Salvatore is one of my favs too. Especially his Dark Elf series. Drizzt is definitely a bad ass. Icewind Dale series was great too.

I've been that far for a couple months and started playing other games and haven't had that urgency to go back and finish it. But I wouldn't chalk it up to bored but maybe not exactly compelled. I hear the co-op is ok though

I actually found Farcry 3 to be really fun and worth the buy. Plenty of stuff to wander around doing if you don't feel like continuing the story at the moment. I had all the enemy outposts completed long before I finished the story.

Injustice is pretty good it made by the mortal kombat team but with more depth and detail it has a great grown up story line this isnt your childhood superman spoiler alert ( he kills joker and another unlikely character a good guy at that) but you might have to be a fan of DC comics to truly appreciate it

I was thinking of getting that new game Combat Monopoly. It is kinda on the same pretense as the standard Monopoly, but.....
The game pieces are soldiers, tanks, artillery, rifles, pistols....
Instead of getting $200 for passing go... you get a supplement to your defense budget.
Instead of houses and hotels, you have tents and bunkers.

Lol this is a debate for the ages. The main difference, in my OPINION, is tactics.

COD has very limited tactics. It's hard to coordinate with teammates when your spawns are constantly switching up. And yea, lots of run n gunners. Everybody kinda does their own thing. It's fun, but it lacks the layers of combat I enjoy. Details.

BF is all about tactics. Without teamwork, you rarely win. Communication with teammates is key, and a lot of times if your not on the mic communicating, the Admins will boot your ass. You really can't run n gun, I mean you can, but you won't get many kills. Vehicles put an end to the run n gunners. And speaking of vehicles....VEHICLES! Jeeps, Jets, Tanks, IFV's, Attack Helos, Passenger Helos, Zodiacs, Dirt Bikes, ATV's, Anti-Air Batteries and even an AC-130 Spectre Gunship....take your pick.

Now again, this was only my opinion. I enjoy both series, but BF is more fun for me because of these aspects.

What's wrong with the interface? I know they had some bugs on release, but it isn't a pain to get set up. The game just takes forever to load.

Well, it takes how many full releases and updates of the game to get an option to quit in between matches? That's a pretty good indicator that there'll be problems.

But having finally gotten around to fixing that.....when playing CoD, you form a party and load a game, and generally start playing the game with your party on your team. Occassionally, you'll have to reset if someone gets dropped or doesn't get in.....but theres a reasonable expectation of getting in.

When playing BF3, you form your platoon and load a game. Then hope that you all get in game. Then pray that if you do happen to all get in game, you're all on the same team. And then hope there's an open platoon so that everyone can group up, because you know that's probably not going to happen.

That being said, totally a fan of dedicated servers, and the ability to "own" a server through rentals.

Yeah they fixed it on Xbox (although like I said, if it's impossible to put you all on one team, it will keep you together as Mich as possible but may still split you up a little).
