Subscription Options Working?

I have been messing around in the user settings lately, and if I set the "Thread Subscription" to "Instantly, using email", I get no emails? Same if I tell it "Daily, using email". Is this broke, or am I just whacked...lol?

OK, I kinda answered my own question, but not 100%. The option I was changing was in "Settings" in the upper right. I assumed this would change the default option when starting or replying, BUT I noticed that the default option while in posting mode is set to "My control panel only" Do I really have to change this everytime? Why is my default setting not kicking in? Am I really over complicating this...LMAO?

Thanks smoke. Let me mess with this some more and see what I can come up with. It does appear to be working on some post but not others. I will let you know what I find. I was trying to auto subscribe to threads when I started or replied to one.
