Titanium isn't supposed to crush tho. Gold is so soft I would think it would be more of a hazard.

Titanium will crush, and the only way to get it off if it does is to cut off the finger.

I have a tungsten ring and still don't try to open bottles with it. It's suppose to be a very strong metal too.
My old unit CO got everyone Bev Keys with the unit crest on them. Had it on my key-chain for about 2 yrs now.
