WOW This TOTALLY SUCKS!!!

Im out here where it sucks!! But i deal with it!!great place to sleep !!(a tent with 20 other strange people) but now they shut down the American DFAC's on the freaking post!!we have 7 freaking chow halls and yet not a single one is serving for the Americans out here?? WTF!!! We have the most people out here n this god forsaken country!! our old chow hall was a tent but they closed that down on DEC 31 because they built buildings for the chow hall's ..ok...BUT what they failed at!! and i mean Epic FAIL! was to secure the DLA(food that comes from the states) food line for any of the chow halls....so for now the three chow halls for American serve a international cuisine ...yuk!!...for u that dont know all the chow halls get there food from the nation's they serve....DFAC 0 is the North Line DFAC doesn't have a number cause its on the opposite side of the airfield & supports the CAB(Combat Aviation Brigade) supposed to serve American but doesn't do to the fact no DLA is coming in so they get their food and its Int Cuisine ......DFAC 1...is called the Niagara it serve's a mix of international cuisine and Canadian but is being change to a American DFAC once the DLA come...if and When.... DFAC 2.... is called the Cambridge... for all the Brits they get their food direct from the UK DFAC 3...is called the Luxembourg for the mix of Belgium, Dutch and French troops we have here.. DFAC 4....is call the FAR EAST....for all the TCN's that work on the post which is a shit load...mostly Americans and Canadians hire TCN's(third country nationals ) from the Philippines and India...they do have great stir Fry!! DFAC 5.....is called Independence hall...with a name like that u would think it would serve American ...and its supposed to but no because of the DLA issue its INT Cuisine...and it sucks...and DFAC 6 ...is called the Monti....which was last to be built and was supposed to replace the Niagara as the Int cuisine ...and gee whiz it does but it suck!! DID i mention that the food SUCKS out here!! and Thanks to that JACK ASS General (wont mention his name) they kicked out of country all the fast food joints for Americans....thank the lord the other nations started to sponsor some of the shops out here or we would have lost everything.. and since the unnamed General firing thing look like they will come back....but not fast.....lots of new empty buildings ....only time will tell.....UGGHHH maybe its a good time for a NO FOOD diet...not like ill miss it!!

I appreciate the love but no packages ive got my wife looking at the store to see what micro wave food she can send..im kinda shocked there is quite a bit when it comes to microwave cuisine!!.. they have micro wave Taco Bell!!.. boy bachelors have it made now a days!! top ramen and mac&cheese was my only options back in the day..

..Oh and MRE's.....Check this shit out...the only MRE's ive seen are for the guys that head out on convoys ..or like on our acft for E&E....so they dont get touched... so i went to the supply room and asked....cause usually there is some room that supply guys have that is stacked full of mre's...they looked at me in shock and disbelief....MR..what?? we anit got none of those....im like your kidding right? nope so i went out to do a little research and come to find out almost60-70% of army units DO NOT carry MRE's...WTF!!!!

Maybe I was just lucky to deploy as part of a support unit, but we had stacks of MRE's. Every truck had a box on it, and we all carried random bits from 2 or 3 of them on us on missions.

well true im embedded with a higher level unit ....a JSC (Joint Sustainment Command) and we are a higher level command right under USFOR-A..even have our own 1 star......And i found out who was hording all the mre's it was the MP's that are attached have a shit load....they convoy out to Khar city all the time.. its just our supply room SUcks!!! cant even go ask for a box of pen's...

Lol I'm truly baffled on how you can't get MREs.... why aren't they requried? We had to have at least 1 Case per stryker crewmember, just incase some shit goes down and we are in a fight for a couple of days

When I was in Iraq we had a never ending supply of MRE. I got so tired of eating them towards the end of the deployment they had trouble handing them out since noone wanted them.
