That is bad ass! I have a couple traxxas trucks, the Tmaxx and Stampede. I used to race them both. Racing is the funnest part of the RC world! Tower Hobbies is located near me, and they are a customer of my employer. They gave me a tour of two of there warehouses...FREAKING AWESOME!;)

That is awesome. I found out about tower hobbies through a couple guys that fly planes around me. Any pointers on the nitros? I want a tour!!!

I've been in and out of RC cars and boats. Finally gave it up because of the cost to actually have fun. I'll still be on the lookout for a gas helicopter....but that'll likely be my last RC ever....if I ever find one that isn't ludicrously priced.
I used to have a Traxxas NitroHawk.
I would love to get back into it, just haven't had the time or money. I've also been looking to RCHele.
But if I were to get a new one, I'd probably go Associated, or Losi.

I've flown the electric RC helicopters you know those cheap ones. I have a Chinook. Its really fun to mess around with. I have flown the nitro RC planes too. There is a club that comes out and uses our airfield for them. They mostly have the turbine jets but one guy had a trainer plane that was the nitro.

I don't drive my rc's much anymore. Kinda like Smoke said, that hobby will nickel and dime you! Two tips for Nitros, make sure you have spare parts, especially drivetrain. The other tip is Nitro storage. Only buy what you are going to be using, because it does go bad fairly quick. Make sure you follow the storage directions on the container, that will help.

So broke out the Jato out today!! Broke her in then did some bashing. I think I bashed a bit to hard and broke a steering servo. Really first day and I break something lol. The piece is only 6 bucks so I can handle that I guess.
I'm looking at picking up an electric RC car also to have around, have the nitro for speed and electric for bashing.

Well if I could go back in time lol I would pick up an electric RC. Don't get me wrong I really like this truck. Its a fun hobby but I think I should have gotten an electric car with a brushless motor on it. O well birthday is next month I'm probably gonna pick the grave digger monster truck up next month.

Don't get me wrong, nitro or electric, they all are a BLAST! Nitro does have higher maintenance, but if your a gearhead, that is the way to go. Electric is boring when it comes to the motor maintenance. Beyond that, suspension, body, etc. all break the same. ;)

I don't mind tuning it its fun. I know one that's made more for bashing will hold up a little better at least you would think lol. Its fun even if you break it then you have to figure out how to take it apart and put it back together correctly lol.

It gets really fun when you rebuild the nitro motors! If you like taking apart and fixing, then Nitro all the way! That was the best part about racing them, we would have a repair party at my house after the races. ;)

I've been looking into getting back in..
I've done some research, and have been looking at the Traxxas Revo 3.3, or Losi and Associated.
Does anyone have any experience with any of them? Anyone selling? ;)

Check out the traxxas forums! They have anything and everything on there. The Revo 3.3 looked like a nice truck. No experiance with that or the Losi. I heard they are great machines. Definitely want a 4x4 though and waterproof. If you do get back into it pick up the RPM arms and other RPM parts!
