I hope no one takes offense to this but I thought it was hiliarious!! This also reminds me we should have a military branch war. Kind of like a roast. You know how there is always heckling between the different branches. It is all in good fun.

lol that is pretty funny. The sad thing is i'm not even half that size now and i put on weight since i've been out and i was still always worried about making weight in the Marines. only time i was actually under was right out of boot when i was 5 pounds under my limit. All the other times i was on the line or even a few over. It sucked too because i could out PT more than 80% of the other marines in my class during MOS school yet i was the one they were always threatening to put on remedial PT.

Hell since I got out I have packed on some weight as well. I definitely am nowhere near his weight though. I think I got pregnant with my wife. LOL

Sadly, the troop in that pick is representative of what happens when they try to fill the ranks at too fast of a pace. We got a few people like that in our unit, yanked out of the IRR in order to make the unit full strength for deployment. This is what happens when you sacrifice quality for quantity.

Funny thing though...not long after this picture started to make the internet, there was an e-mail from our division CSM (command sergeant major) asking if anyone had any information on who the guy was or what unit he was with. Don't know if they ever found out.

It is unbelievable that they would activate someone in that kind of shape. You figured they would take him to MEPS and tell him no thanks your free to leave. I almost feel bad for the dude though. His picture is getting thrown around the web as a joke.

That is god damn hilarious. I would have just laughed my balls off if I saw that guy while I was in the ARMY.

It is sad that he was allowed to get like that. I bet he is a Reservist that was activated and sent to the desert.
I have gained weight since I got out (20 Lbs.) But holy shit.

That is simply unprofessional, I bet his NCOs are ashamed. Defiantly a reservist, no soldier in my unit would be allowed to get that way.

I love the guy in the foreground, sitting down, who looks like he is trying like all hell not to laugh.

Damn skippy, we would have been toasted in the Infantry (even though I was a Mechanic)

I would have not been able to control myself.

I run a reserve unit as an administrator. We have our share of people who tip the scales too heavy, but not obese like this clown. LIke I said, they flooded our unit with IRR leftovers in order to make us deployable. Most hadn't worked their MOS in two years or more, and a lot of them could only do 12 ounce curls, at best.
