I am in the market to get a new bluetooth for my PS3. I currently have the Sony PS3 v1, and it works great, but it doesn't hold a charge for crap anymore (probably my 5+hr zombie games..lol). I was looking at the Sony PS3 2.0 headset, but seeing mixed reviews. Does anyone have it, or have other recommendations?
I use the V1 too. You should probably let it completely discharge, and recharge a few times. Batteries are notorious for going bad, when they don't get used a lot. (ie, sitting in the charge stand daily)

I just picked up the Playstation version 2 about 2 weeks ago because my version 1 was doing the same thing.
Have to say I like it ... quite a bit in fact. Solid performance on par with the v1. Definitely better ballanced so it sits on your ear better ... mine used to droop and hang funny because the v1 was just large and heavy.
I also (and I think this is important) no one has told me that my transmissions sound like they are underwater since the switch come to think of it.
Pairs with the PS3 nicely through the usb cable ... and was ready to rock ... like the v1 it comes with a charging stand and usb cable.
The only drawback I see is the ear hook. It's a thin plastic clip that snaps onto the ear unit at the earbud its kinda like an old Samsung unit I got with a phone bundle. The problem I had with that design is that the clip is kinda vulnerable where it snaps on to the unit ... I have just been very careful with it not to stress the clip at all (not a big deal really) and all seems good.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate it a solid 8 ... performance is good ... nice improvement ... but that damn clip is a little vulnerable IMO so I think that based on that a 2 point hit is justified.
Hope this helps.

I have considered getting this one when I noticed they had a new one. Your right Actual the first one is pretty heavy on the ear, and it also has a weird clip.

That's what I'm talking about! I have been wanting a wireless two earpiece set for a while, and for only $99 I think I will definitely get it.

Agreed, the set does look pretty solid. While i don't expect it will best some of the top of the line turtle beach/tritton models, I can be certain that being designed for the PS3 will make it very easy to setup and use. More streamlined than the 3rd party products
