played around in Beta, couldn't really get in to it for some reason.

I've been playing for 3 days now, and I believe I'm having the same issue.

Its almost 2 complex, in terms of character development, and even though I can do so many combinations, I really don't understand why. I just wanna make the best character for lvling right now, and so far, I cannot seem to find a good compromise.

I have to give it to blizzard, they have definitely nailed the simplicity in wow; you can just sit down, and not really have to think about playing. I feel in Rift, I have to plan out my entire character from start to finish before I start playing.... :rolleyes:

As of right now, I don't think I'm gonna play this past my 30 days included with the purchase, which is unfortunate, cause I paid 70 bucks for this game. I just knew in my gut, I should have gone for Starcraft2..

Maybe its just time for me in general to check outa the MMOs. :cool:

Honestly, I wouldn't say it's an indicator to check out of MMO's in general, since I agree completely that it's amazingly over-the-top conviluted. Just check out of "that" one. I started playing around with Lotro again, just to replay some of the stories...since I was rereading Lord of the Rings. It's good times...but my old clan had bailed, leaving me the only one in it, lol.

Rift visuals are freakin amazing. The gfx artist really did a number on it.
