Ok computer geniuses, im lookin to get myself a gaming pc. Only trouble is, i dont know squat about computers. What, and i need specifics here, do you recommend to a newbie like myself. Also, bear in mind that price is no object. I want the best.

OMG!! welcome to the sane world!! Price no object? dont say that or the bill could run up easy high!!! you got to think of some parameters...desktop or laptop...full case or mini ....god the options are limitless ... big names if you dont wanna build your self...Alienware/Dell, Hp/Vodoo, Falcon Northwest , Origin PC, iBuypower, Sager....sheesh the list goes on and on....
i have a alienware laptop..i love it!! a M17X...cause i need power and portability
had a friend that bought a iBuyPower pc around 3500 nice lots of options
another friend with Origin Pc...he loves his..he got a laptop and a desktop from them..great customer service
like i said you really need to set some parameters and then go from there..

You do realize you can buy a brand new car for what "the best" will cost you right?

Ok fair enough, lets go with a laptop, cause i already have the imac taking up space in my apt. and i like the portability option. And ive seen some nice alienware products.

well best bang for the buck used to be the alienwares but that might have changed...now come the question of size....11 14 15 17 18...inches that is...but right now dell has the XPS line that they just redesigned....very nice and great product ..i owned a XPS M170 1 gen back in the day and its still runs great..one of the guys in the office just order a 17 inch XPS very nice ..all high end stuff and it was pretty cheap..around 14-1600ish...not too shabby..plus dell gives ya a military discount...or order straight from AAFES online...thats what i did with my alienware..custom built and shipped out to me here in the sandbox
Dont buy Alienware!!!
