Talk to silent I think he has the Linux.
I've Revolted have you?
I personally like PinguyOS (http://pinguyos.com/) or Mint (http://www.linuxmint.com/)
I find Fedora buggy, and in general full of too much crap..

Another vote for Mint, it's like Ubuntu with a nicer interface and minus some of the open-source bullshit. Which allows it do play more media formats out of the "box" among other things.
I've tried dual-booting linux in the past, but after a week or two realized it was pointless. Why bother booting into linux when you can do everything and more on windows? I'm not going to reboot my PC just to browse the web in another OS. Kinda pointless to dual-boot unless you are a dev or something, IMHO. It is fun to mess around with for awhile though and nice for systems that aren't going to do any gaming or windows only tasks, netbooks and the like.
Mint is nice for desktop use, I use fedora on my home servers

I dual boot Ubuntu and ubuntu server. have Fedora, Suse, and Redhat as well. Just upgraded Ubuntu to 11.10 and dont like the GUI changes already. I have to dual boot since I am a Dev and for work as well. I cant stand Mint, and Pinguy is an out of the box OS that you really dont need much to.
I use CentOS (http://www.centos.org/)for my home server

You don't like the GUI changes in the new Ubuntu, yet don't like Mint? What is this crazyness I hear.:redface: The whole reason I like Mint, is because of the lightweight LXDEd and not the new Gnome.
You must like Kubuntu then?

Ya Im thinking I may go and give mint another tryout. This new Ubuntu 11.10 has sold out and gone the way of windows..Its to cosmetic for me. Everything has either been removed, merged or buried. Kubuntu is alright.

I've only had experience with Ububntu and Fedora (14,15, and now 16) KDE spins. I've got a bunch of stuff at work that I need to do in Linux, and so far it's been alright. I don't know what it was about Ubuntu I didn't like, but after trying Fedora I've stuck with it.
