"WTF" moments.

You know those moments. The ones where you sit there going "how the hell did that just happen." The ones where you feel like god's gift to gaming.....or the devil's gift, depending on how it works out.

So what was your moment?

Last night and well in to the morning, Recon and I were grouped up playing some Rush in BF3. We had good matches, we had bad ones.

Then we had the match on....it's the map where you start on the carrier and invade the dockyard. First set of MCOM stations go smooth, as do the second. The third however, the ones under the radio tower and in the building halfway down the hill, give us trouble. We fight through and take the first, but they have half their team in the building, and we just can't crack it. With 8 tickets left, the moment occurs. Recon sets up and starts lobbing mortar rounds. I charge on, in the IRV, with our third squadmate on the guns. It's cleared out, I jump out and start planting, and....boom. Dropped with half a second left.

Lesser gamers would have given up, but not us, no sir. Our squad buddy plants the bomb, then dies, leaving us at 0 tickets left. Recon reloads and starts firing off mortars while I respawn from the mobile spawn point. Recon gets 3 kills, then 4 kills and a squad wipe ribbon. I throw down a 203 round for 2, and pull out the M416 for 2 more with an epic knife on the guy defusing to cap.

The other team is so utterly demoralized by this victory, that they lose all hope and our team, bouyed by the thrill of victory, marches on with impunity, verily slaughtering our foes for an exceptional win.

We didn't just snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, we shoved our arm down it's throat, grabbed that victory, and a little bit of intestine, and jerked that victory out so hard it dislocated it's jaw and broke all it's teeth. This was the kind of victory that video game characters sit around in a bar cheering over!

Mine is I actually got a kill with the jet and unlocked the heat seeker missiles.that is my highlight of the night.

How do you unlock the jets, etc.? Are they only available on certain game types? I mainly play TDM.

That was one hell of a game! I remember just dropping mortars on the objective and BAM Triple Kill...reload tube BAM double kill! I love my mortars! Dave I will buy the first round!

I've had some good BF3 moments so far, but none that compared to one of the last matches I played on Bad Company 2. I was playing conquest on the Heavy Metal map, U.S. Army side, and had control of the Apache helicopter. My team was doing very well and I had managed to keep the enemy helicopters at bay. I got into a dogfight with the Russian Havoc helicopter, and he was able to damage mine enough that I had to bail.

As I was parachuting down over the bravo position, I pulled out my RPG and took a shot. It hit, destroyed the helicopter, and gave me a double kill. That was one of my most memorable moments in any game I've ever played.

Killing two people in one shot with the .44 Magnum while playing Squad Rush with the clan tonight was pretty awesome. :D

My WTF Moment happened a few days ago........Playing Conquest on Demavand. I knifed 4 people ,all who were laying prone by Alpha(I assume a Squad). 1 by 1 until the Guy I knifed first ended up knifing me after I knifed the 4th guy.....lol

Ah the knife. My favorite weapon to dispatch an unsuspecting foe....(Ironhide400) LMFAO!!!

New moment the other night. Was playing Rush on Damavand Peak sans clan. Was having a good time of it, having a competent set of blues. We took the first set of mcoms very quickly, and the second after a smalk struggle. Enter the single greatest map feature in battlefield. The base jump.

I run up and jump, with "Holy crap this is pure awesome, lolololol" streaming through my head. I snap out my chute, and notice two guys on the roof. Pull out the M320, direct hit!, two corpses litter the roof. I land on the roof, and run to the windows side of the roof entrance. Support guy is covering the Mcom, goes down to my knife. Run around to get to the door on the other side, and spot someone coming up the ladder. A hail of bullets drops him in his tracks and I continue to my objective. Inside, not one, but two enemy troops are on the catwalk covering below. Knife the first, then the second while the Mcom my squadmate armed starts it's siren. Drop down from the balcony, and fire at the guy attempting to disarm, only to find out there were two people there. We go on to win the match, and I ended up with an MVP2 ribbon.

I had one today: while ejecting from the jet after I was almost shot down(happens alot), I was parachuting to the ground when the enemy jet that shot me down decided that he wasnt gonna let his kill get taken from him, so he expertly RAN ME OVER IN MID DESCENT! He just plowed right into me in mid-air I couldnt believe it. Prick.

Had another one last night, not so much "wtf awesome" as "wtf how stupid can you get?"

Was playing Metro Conquest, and it was pretty clear we weren't going to win. Towards the end, they held A and B, and we were rushing up from C. The way the game was going, there were about 6-8 people guarding the side staircase up to B, with my team rushing it constantly. I got tired of getting killed and revived, so I backed away, ran over to the escalators, and came up behind the other team's guards for 8 kills, which lead to two Assault rifle proficiency ribbons, a squad wipe ribbon, a nemesis ribbon, a savior ribbon and an avenger ribbon. The really pathetic part is that at least two of those kills were from people spawning on a teammate. Was a pretty cool streak of ribbons popping up on the screen.

Mine was a few days ago with AT4, its was on the map that looks like a town in France. So we are in the middle of the match of Conquest when the enemy team is all bunched up in B. So me and AT4 set-up a mortar team and lob mortars constantly, being the experts we are with our equipment we run quick reloads with HE and Smoke switch for faster reloads. We bombard the area for 10 mins picking up kill after kill. The other team gets pissed off and assigns one of there guys to counter mortar fire on ur. He gtes us both but we plot a little revenge, he decided to copy or plan and pepper one of our spots, if remember it was A. So me and AT4 draw him out and AT4 gets the kill off him. I got 18 while AT4 got 12, just from being a Mortar squad lol. Talk about fun pissing off the opposing team with well corrodinated strikes and quick reloads lol.
