I've seen a few questions about how to get Origin to install into a directory other than the default setup. Here's how:
INSTALLING ORIGIN GAMES TO CUSTOM DIRECTORY
This tutorial will help you to install any game into whatever directory
you wish to instead of the Origin default directory.
1. Start up Origin and click on the cog and select settings as in Fig. 1.

2. As you see below in Fig. 2, click on change.

3. You can see below in Fig. 3 that I have already selected my D: drive to install to. DO NOT click on Select Folder yet.

4. Had you clicked on Select Folder above in Step 3, this is what it will result in. Origin has to have a folder to install to.

Just press accept and we'll go on to Step 5.
5. Click on change again. Go to Step 6.

6. Click on New Folder, then type the “name of the game” you are installing in the text box.

Click on Select Folder at bottom of window.
7. You should see a small window pop open as below in Fig. 7. Click Accept.

8. Now if you want to save your game installers into a backup directory, follow the same steps as above after clicking on Change under where it says Select where you want to store your game installers.

9. When you get to the popup windows that asks if you want to delete previous cache directory, click no.

10. Click Done at bottom of window.

11. Now you're ready to download and install.
