it's all the advance optics tech, that they dump into those scopes. still...... he was very lucky.

Wow that something I just learned. I had no idea that the acog could fit on the M16A2!? That's awesome I thought it only worked with the A4s.

Very lucky indeed! Only problem with broken ACOGs they have to be handled by HAZMAT personel, because of the radioactive Tritium, used to illuminate the reticle at night.

Yup you name it, Trijicon has probably made a mount for it.
The Iraqi Army Recon platoon we where training even had a couple on their AKs with 7.62 reticles.

yep Db, the main fastener goes through that little hole in the Army handle that is seemingly useless

lol just what they always referred to it in the Marines. Because only the Army is allowed to use it? We weren't allowed to even touch it unless we were cleaning it in boot camp.

Amen. It definitely, and by all means, was at all times off limits to use as a handle. I was told the Army used it as one, but I wasn't sure if that was truth, or if it was another one of those interservice jabs.

Yes, I always thought wow what a useless hole they have here. I guess someone thought ahead while making these. :lol: It is true what your saying Max... We would not dare use that as a handle for our weapon that was definitely a no go... That and if you dropped your rifle you had to follow it with some push ups.

Just to make some clarification, we were also threatened with our lives if we used that handle.
That weapon is not a F'ing suitcase Soldier.
So NO it is not OK even in the ARMY to use that handle. :D

Yes, We got threatened in Ft. Benning about caring a 16 by it's handle.
I don't know why anyone would think of caring their weapon like that. To me it's just common sense not to. :roll: There was always that damn simple minded f**k that would always get busted for it and get the rest of us smoked for it. :evil:
