What a tool. Thankfully, the local media in our area is always quick to promote businesses and organizations that put together care package events for the troops. We have a LOT of support for the military in our area, along with a plethora of veterans.

What Mr. Avery doesn't realize, or seems to forget, is that this country was bought and paid for with the blood of men and women who freely paid the ultimate sacrifice to give Americans such as himself, a podium to speak on about any topic he see's fit to speak of. In an age where everyone including politicians and Law Professors seek their ten minutes of fame and are looked at as celebrities, soldiers get no such treatment outside of their own circle of family and friends. Most people I know that served did so not because of the "perks" if you will, the G.I. Bill, VA care and so forth, but the bottom line is they do it because above all else, they love this country and still believe in the ideal that America is still for the people, by the people, and of the people.
I've read somewhere that soldiers actually make up less than 1% of the total worlds population, not sure if it's true, but after reading this mans' line of bullshit, I can believe it.
So don't you worry Mr. Avery. You can sit there all you want and use shock value for your 10 minutes of fame using soldiers as the punchline, it won't matter. Soldiers will keep on soldiering, and people will still keep on supporting those soldiers. You don't have to kill other human beings sir, because there will always be men like me who will sign on that dotted line and take that oath to freely give my life if needed to protect your rights as an American to say anything your fat little heart desires, even if it is against us as soldiers. Sleep tight sir, knowing full well that there are soldiers of every branch watching your back who are ready to kill other human beings so you don't have to.

If any of you reading have ever been to a Chicago Blackhawks game, you know what this vid represents. It's actually a controversy that instead of being silent for the anthem, Chicago Hawk fans go berserk as soon as the first cord is struck. I'ts actually the loudest part of the entire game. Every time I'm at the stadium the hair on my entire body stands on edge and you can actually feel the electricity in the air.

General Swartzkoff watched this game and was rumored to cry at the sight of the patriotism in Chicago that night.

When I went, I went to Hines VA and was there for a kidney stone. Took a little longer than usual to be seen, but when I was seen I got all meds and tests done pretty quick and painlessly. Didn't seem to bad to me.

I went to the ER for chest pains. Middle of the day.

When an ER doctor finally got to me, it had been six hours. He asked me how long I'd been waiting, and I told him. His reply was "Damn that's actually pretty good. Normally it's around 9." I also waited around three hours for meds that night because there was only one pharmacist and they were predisposed to filling out the scrips for the in-patients. New girl too, so it took forever.

However, they were pretty quick to see and thorough with my carpal/cubital tunnel tests. It just seems so hit-or-miss. With all my back stuff, it's been a nightmare getting something decent lined up.

Anyway, it'll be a lot better when they open up what used to be Silver Cross down in Joliet. That's going to be a big relief.

Don't waste money sending this guy to Afghanistan, just drop him off at my front door. When I was in Saudi the few times we got care packages it brought our spirits up because it showed us that the people back home were thinking of us. People like this butt pirate remind me of a saying I read once "freedom has a price the protected will never know" and this assclown only proves it.

I don't think there's any reason to get too worked up about this guy. There's always going to be those people, I'm sure we've all met them, that take these outlandish stands against things they either don't understand or can't compete with. Probably some faggy little douche his whole life and finally got a chance to talk about a group of people that kept taking his girlfriends and intimidating him with their superiority. Probably has similar feelings for football stars and male models.

You know what academics always seem to piss me off. For a very short time I worked at Pitt and was making a comment to a coworker about the American Flag motif on a particular shirt in the book store.

Apparently the member of the faculty standing behind me felt it was his obligation to comment "What's so great about that fascist symbol?" I was so pissed I swear I almost punched the guy... but I told him was that "it is so great because people who served and died under that Symbol and for what it Symbolizes payed a heavy price to allow you to run for fucking mouth. That's what so great about it."

I got in an ass load of trouble for that... and I still don't care.

Academics are so buys picking things apart that the loose sight of exactly what they are talking about.

These are the same people who you seen in the mall squatting down in front of an angry toddler explaining how the toddler is hurting mommy and daddy's feeling because they are acting out. Like a pissed off 2 year old is really ready to discuss the ramifications of their actions on the family dynamic.

Book smart bunch of utter retards.

The one bright spot to all of this type of BS that is out there is that:

1. I am very proud of my time in the Navy and would not trade it for anything even if my time away from home and hearth doing my part is wasted on ass clowns like that guy.

2. I am also very happy and proud to know all of you folks here, and to be counted among you. At least I have a place where I know I can find people who have their heads and their hearts in the right place.
