Stick it all in a mayonaise jar and bury it in a septic tank.

I work for John Deere as an IT Analyst and have my stock in Deere. It so far has made me money. They recorded record profits this year.

right now stay away from int funds and stocks, i pulled all my money out if int stuff other then south America/Caribbean, My guy at UBS say tech is a big driver also anything green. That where I been putting my money I use a 1/4 in high yield high risk, 1/4 big cap/small cap, usually 1/4 int (but not now), 1/4 solid bonds or precious metals. I hate to give advice on anyone's money you might just want to sit on it to see where the markets are in 3 months.

I might do stocks, but don't know the first thing about it. Sounds like easy money and I don't have any work anymore :(

look into E*trade or other online services. They act as your broker so when you make money they take their share, but be careful of penalties, if there are any. If your looking to mess around with a couple hundred try doing some research on "penny shares". watch your shares wait for them to jump a few pennys and youve made profit.

like I said CD are great until you learn about the market, bonds, funds, and commodities. It took me until my 30's to really start paying attention to investing, wish I would have started earlier rather then putting my retirement saving in what ever fund I thought looked good in my 401K, start watching CNBC and talk to a finical adviser.

I'm currently still learning from one of my battle buddies on EXACTLY what to look for when buying stock (he has a degree in some finance field, and he makes quite a bit from investments)! Anyhow, some companies that he helped me invest in where BAC (Bank Of America), WD (Western Digital), WWE, & I put some in Ford! They are good stocks, but really low prices. I wanted to start by buying low until I get the hang of what to look for, and wait until I am back home and not in Afghan so I can actual watch the stock updates. Those are just a few of the one's I found that had some decent gains in the past week or more/at low-price shares!
