If you've pre-ordered TOR, and have yet to do so, make sure you pre-load the game for early access launch time funs.

deleted my old one and loaded a new one, which only took 12 hours! lol... Then I noticed I didnt need to. Oh well! :-)

so we can use the same pre load from beta or i need to delete the beta info????? Either way I am pre-ordering and and pre loading today?
I actually deleted the BETA client, and re-downloaded the release client, just to make sure, though I've heard the BETA client simply gets upgraded to the RELEASE.

If you downloaded the Beta after Thanksgiving, you can patch it when you start. Otherwise, you need to delete it, and load it fresh from the website. Your best bet though is to simply delete the beta and start fresh.

Guild applications were suspended so they could be loaded in to the game. Can't accept people until that's finished.

awh that's kinda lame.. Will they open back up on early access or full launch?? Also, double checking... It'll show up what server our guild is on during the server selection screen right? Oh, and is there integrated voice in the game? or do we need to Skype?

Well, I think it'll be reactivated...at least until Jan. 1, when the guild section of TOR's website is shut down. Smoke offered up the website here for the Guild's forum, since there will likely be a pretty active presence from USMG, so it's possible that all recruitment would go through here anyway, at least out of game recruitment.
The guild was loaded on the Shien server, no idea if there is a notification that will tell you this, but I think it's likely I'll be playing tomorrow, I'll let you know if I see it.
As for voice, I really have no idea if there's an in-game voice, but if not there are a dozen or so programs that would let us set one up. From skype to Vent, and numerous in-between.

I would vote for Ventrilo, I didn't like mumble, and found it a pain to use.
Mumble was hard to use simply because everyone was so used to Vent.
Mumble does have some cool features like speaker priority, so if your tank is trying to call some shit out during a raid, you're not fucked over by the dude who is mouth-breathing into his open mic. Supposedly, it's also lower latency, but I didn't notice a difference and had the same frequency of lag spikes as I had previously on Vent.
In the end, the best chat client is the easiest one to get people to use. I vote for Vent. Pretty much everyone coming from MMOs will have it and know how to use it and get around it.

I ordered through Origin, but there's no option to preload through there, so I did it through the SWTOR site and My Account. In any case, the launcher is installing stuff, so that must be the right option.
Weird. Will Origin somehow detect the install later on or something?

Holy shit got through the Main Assets downloading > 2MBps but now on to English Assets 1. 4.76GB remaining @ 130KBps. See you all in 2012 I guess.

As soon as someone gets a vent post info please! As for skype, my user name is ASignorelli88. hit me up! If I'm not on, then tell me to get on skype in game. Vent is mildly better cause it has a PTT, but skype is free.
