I'm kinda glad I haven't gotten the early access email yet, because tonight is my anniversary and to prove how much I love my wife, I'm going to take her to see Twilight after I work all day and then take a final. I just hope she doesn't expect me to pay attention to the movie. I can't stand that Twilight crap.

Well I just found out that Origin isn't distributing their codes until the 16th at the earliest, but most likely the 19th, so even if I do get an early access email, I'd still have to wait on that. No biggie; I didn't expect to be in earlier waves, but the 19th? Fuck you Origin. I should have known better.

Those codes don't affect early access playthrough. The only thing that happens there, is you don't get the little goodies/freebies that come from ordering a specific edition, and no access to the VIP lounge if you get it...until you enter that code.

Everything else works just fine. If anything, you should be stoked, as you get access to the extra crap up to 4 days earlier than people like me, who bought a hard copy from the store.

This early access stuff and all the product code hoops are a lot to digest. So, once the early access email comes from SWTOR, I can log into the game, but I can't set up payment and register the code until that comes from Origin, right? Ugh man, just finished a final and my head is already AFU.

I don't really expect to be in game any time soon though. My preorder was on 12/1 and I didn't preload until last night.

No, I played a couple hours up to lvl 8, and nothing show stopper.. Still have a few quirky items, but I think they will resolve them in time.

Same, only up to 18. Haven't seen anything but a couple of resource nodes that were hinky.

I'll try while I'm on tonight. I'll only be on for a little bit this weekend. Thank God I got in with one of the last waves yesterday, as it was really the only day for the next couple weeks where I have a big chunk of time to play.

Picked Operative using the Med tree. So far, melee plays like a rogue, but killing targets is more effective still at range? Weird. I'd imagine while grouping as a healer, I'll be at range anyway, right?

I'm no SW nut, but damn they did a good job with this game. I've done launch for a lot of games, including a couple MMORPGs, and this definitely seems very polished compared to all the rest so far. Hell it seems more polished than AoC as AoC sits right now, and that's been out for 3.5 damn years.

I agree with the level of polish. It's pretty laughable when the biggest issues at launch are the lack of a diceroll emote and random drops being random.
