Not sure if this has been brought up before....

There is a plugin for vBulletin http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=240677 That I think would be pretty nice to have here. We can add videos from different sites to include Youtube. What I have in mind is have a few sections like Clan Videos (USMG Owning other players), Weapon Guides, and any other ideas you all have. Also, the videos dont have to be hosted here so you won't be taking up alot of bandwidth and memory. Let me know what you think??

Here are some of the Features (copied)

Integrated directly into the vBulletin user database and product manager.
Fully phrased and built on tempaltes for easy re-skinning and styling.
Simple to use administration features and usergroup permission settings.
Landing page with the most recent, most popular and highest rated media.
Ability to add media into a single category, while adding multiple tags.
Ability to browse media through categories, tags, and user contributions.
Summary tag cloud with a link to the entire list of tags in the system.
Comment and rating system based on AJAX including graceful degredation.
Individual RSS Feeds for newest videos, categories, tags and user media.
Search function for titles and descriptions.

That would definitely be cool, if we could keep it semi-updated and relevant.

I could help out with that as I had this plugin before.

I've added it to the site, you can see the link in the navbar above, or here http://usmilitarygamers.com/community/media.php

Does anyone have any suggestions on what categories should be created?

Maybe:
Gameplay videos
Gameplay screenshots
Gameplay tutorials
Humorous videos
Humorous photos
Other videos
Other photos (don't know what to call these)

So how do we acctually add anything in there? I went to the Gamplay screenshots and went to the bottom where it says Media URL and posted the url in there. I then cat this...

vBulletin Message Could not parse media URL.

Is it a permissions thing or did I get the URL wrong?

What was the URL?

http://api.elite.callofduty.com/screenshots/5/4/d/1/0/0/3/0/c/c/8/6/b/1/b/9/b/5/a/c/6/7/1/3/7/b/a/2/f/9/9/9/mw3.xbox.screenshot.563756940063.jpg

It is from the elite screen capture that I got from MW3. I right clicked on it and copied the link. I also clicked on view image and tried that link and got the same response on it.

Smoke, It's not letting me update the description for the videos. Can you please look into that.

ok, after some research, it appears this mod is not compatible with the new editor in versions 4.1.7 or newer. (we're on 4.1.9)

I'm gonna disable it, until I can find a reliable fix.

$150USD is IMHO I bit overprices for a mod that simply does media linking. But if you want it, and buy it, I'll install it!

BTW - I think I might have fixed the current one.. I re-enabled it. Everyone give it a test, and lets see if we encounter any more issues.
