The following is from a non-attorney spokesmen:

We've all seen the annoying beacons pop up saying who's doing what and when, but rarely does it have any other info relative to what you want us to do about it. In the beacon menu theres an "edit beacon" section used to customize said beacon about your current gaming status. If we take a second before we get on the sticks to post a beacon about what you want to do, it may get our matches running faster with the folks wanting to run those game types as well.
Prime example is that I'm aware you guys don't always want to play HC K.C and that's fine by me, but if you're posting stock beacons, hell, even showing up in USMG's player list, please believe I'm blasting you an invite if you're on MW3 because there's always strength in numbers.
So...as our clan grows and we get more tight knit, I think posting, reading and respecting active beacons will alleviate some wait times we're currently experiencing inviting folks already partied up as well as immediately identify players in certain game types and formats. Plus, it'll maybe keep us from bugging players who want a little piece and invite quiet and have made themselves "offline" for whatever reason...I'm gonna toob the next beacon setter who ignores invites while we twiddle our thumbs waitin on nothing...

that is all....

Good point. I will edit my beacons to clarify (I am not really a fan of KC, but I'll play if it's a full group).

When not on Gears I will always most certainly jump on some MW3, I am more a fan of The KKK (and I am Black) than I am a fan of Hardcore. However I will play Hardcore if there is a full group!

I'm with everyone else, I have set my beacon so if you see me send me an invite. I'll do the same for everyone I see as well. I hate playing single with a bunch of randoms....

I have set my beacon to read if I have a good connection I will join. Not sure if that is what comes across or not because I haven't seen a custom text beacon yet.

Far as I can tell, the custom beacons DON'T show up as you post it to the world, rather just the generic "x friends want to play MW3" appears. The key to the custom beacon is to hit Xbox button, scroll to beacons, then check the status of your friends beacon. Xbox just groups all of them together, it's what you do with it that matters...that's just half the battle! If USMG is listed in your beacon, I guarantee an invite from me and probably from a whole lotta other bad mutha flippers....

That is all...

When I'm on(which is less and less due to school), I am playing either MW3 or BF3. I have Beacons set for both games (I will edit my MW3 one to say USMG), but don't bother sending me an invite to a game I'm not playing (i.e. if I'm playing BF3, don't send me a MW3 invite because I won't come). But by all means do send me one for the game I am currently playing.
